* Stay indoors away from windows, and keep children and pets indoors as well.

* Stay vigilant and monitor conditions. Note that the landscape may have changed following bushfires.

Wed 10/12 at 10"28am. Here's the latest update on the Bogee fire from the NSW RFS - Cudgegong District.

🟨Advice: Home Hills Road Fire, Bogee🟨

Size: Over 500ha
Location: approximately 22km south of Rylstone

This fire is burning in the vicinity of Home Hills Road and Marsden Road where firefighters have been and continue to work on property protection. Those in the vicinity should remain vigilant and follow the advice of emergency service personnel.

Predominately easterly winds today will mean that the main fire will continue to move in a westerly direction towards Clandulla and Brogan Creek areas. This will push the fire into more dense, inaccessible and steep terrain. Those in the Clandulla and Brogan Creek areas need to stay up to date, enact their Bush Fire Survival Plans and be mindful that embers and spot fires may start ahead of the main fire front.

Communities and residents within the areas of Charbon, Mount Marsden and Bogee areas will also need to remain vigilant and monitor conditions and enact their Bush Fire Survival Plan as terrain and localised weather on the fire ground will mean that this fire will continue to move in all directions.

Thunderstorms are also predicted for this afternoon/evening which could bring increased winds, lightning activity and hopefully some rain.

Stay up to date on bush fires in your area by checking Hazards Near Me, the RFS website, listening to your local radio station, or by calling the RFS Bush Fire Information Line on 1800 679 737
