Tonight we wind back to this time last year, when the Natte Yallock Fire Brigade travelled to Moyston to help battle the fierce Grampians fire alongside other local crews. 👨🏻‍🚒

Efforts like this don’t always make headlines, but they’re never forgotten by the communities they protect. Absolute respect to everyone who answered the call that night! 🔥

Looking back on Australia Day earlier this year, one moment that really stood out was the recognition of local legend Alan Streeter as the 2025 Pyrenees Shire Citizen of the Year! 🇦🇺

“Boo” has been the backbone of the Natte Yallock community for years – pouring time and energy into the Natte Yallock Cricket Club, and everything else that needs a willing pair of hands! ✋🏻

No fuss, no ego, just getting things done! 💪🏻

A very fitting Australia Day honour, and a reminder that the strength of small communities comes from people like Boo quietly showing up, year after year. 👏🏼

Lexton Fire Brigade responded to a haystack fire on the Avoca-Bealiba Road at Rathscar West earlier today. 🔥

While haystack fires are unlikely to spread into surrounding grassland, they can generate significant smoke.

In this instance, smoke was visible from nearby roads and surrounding communities.

Firefighters worked to pull apart the hay and fully extinguish the fire, ensuring no further risk remained.

Thankfully, No injuries were reported. 🙏🏻

The Natte Yallock Recreation Reserve is a sharply kept, genuinely impressive country ground – the sort of place that explains why Natte became the home base when the Bealiba merger took shape.

Even with small populations on both sides, the locals built and maintained a facility that punches well above its weight – something that stood out immediately when football historian Andy Munro paid a visit.

Inside the rooms, he spotted a Bealiba photo on the wall – a little nod to the club’s past, to the merged Swans eventually joining the MCDFNL and winning the 2011 flag in their very first season.

You don’t get that sort of story without a community behind it, and Natty’s reserve still carries that feeling today. The surface, the layout, the upkeep – it all shows the pride of a district!

Natte Bealiba Football Netball Club has announced that Emma Ryan will return to coach the 18 & Unders in 2026! 🎉

Emma took on the 17 & Unders this year to help Ash, and ended up guiding the girls to a preliminary final, thanks to her years of coaching experience and on-court talent. 👏🏻

The club’s confident she can take them even further next season as the age group shifts to an 18 & Under competition. 🏐

Natte Bealiba Football Netball Club have appointed Brendon Tranter as its A Grade Netball Coach for the 2026 MCDFNL season! ✍🏻

Brendon brings a strong sporting background and experience at major league level, giving him a broad understanding of leadership, development and what it takes to drive success.

He’s no stranger to the club either, having watched and supported the A Grade side closely over the past three years, giving him a solid feel for the team and its strengths.

The club says he’ll bring fresh ideas, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for helping players grow both individually and as a group.

Massive congratulations to Natte Bealiba Football Netball Club, who’ve claimed the 2025 MCDFNL Champion Club Shield with an impressive 149 points! 🏆

That total crowns the club as the top all-round performer across football and netball – a testament to a season of relentless effort, consistency, and community spirit! 🙌🏻

From the juniors to the seniors, every team played a part in delivering this outstanding result! 👏🏻

An incredible achievement for the Swans – a reward for dedication both on and off the field. Well done to everyone involved! ❤️🤍
