We had a chat recently with Prism Sound about our new ADA128 converter. This is the main system (apart from the computer) that drives the studio. I thought it'd be interesting to share some of it because not everyone knows the diverse work we do in our studio.

4. What kind of clients or projects do you usually work on?
We work on a broad spectrum of creative projects, with a strong emphasis on music production. That said, some of our most memorable sessions have come from working with international film stars. When actors are in Sydney for location shoots or press tours, we often handle their ADR for ongoing film projects.
One of my personal favourites was working with Elisabeth Moss from The Handmaid’s Tale. She was a joy to work with — kind, down-to-earth, and insanely talented. Her ADR sync and accents were astonishing. Stew’s calm and friendly demeanour is a hit with these stars — he never gets fazed by the fame, and they love that.
5. Do you have a favourite moment or story from a session that really stuck with you?
Stew’s highlight was working with Dacre Montgomery from Stranger Things. At first, he didn’t realise who Dacre was, until a director’s daughter jumped on the link to fangirl him — it was a hilarious moment!
As for me, I’ll never forget recording the real Siri. Yes — that Siri. Making tea for her, chatting about her experience, and hearing her voice in real life was surreal. And yes, she was just as captivating in person as I’d hoped. 😄
