We are absolutely bursting with glitter and pride to announce that the one and only Global Icon, Superstar, Drag Royalty & Absolute Legend COURTNEY ACT will be a joining us at Fair Day! 🌈👑💃
Boy, Girl, Artist, Advocate—Courtney Act is more than just the sum of her parts.
In 2003, Shane Jenek auditioned for the first season of Australian Idol. Turned away, he bent the rules—and his gender—returning the next day as Courtney Act. A star was born. Courtney was signed to Sony/BMG and became the first drag performer in the world to debut on a major label. She then embarked on a national arena tour, setting the stage for a groundbreaking career.
In 2014, Courtney captured global attention on season six of the Emmy Award-winning RuPaul’s Drag Race,standing alongside Bianca Del Rio and Adore Delano as one of the most iconic and beloved top threes in the show’s history.
Courtney anchors the live TV broadcasts of the Sydney Gay & Le***an Mardi Gras (ABC) & Eurovision (SBS), and this October is releasing her first Children's Book bringing the beauty of Australia's flora to an international audience. To top it all off, Courtney Act has been immortalised with her own wax figure at Madame Tussauds Sydney.

🖤 My custom hand drawn metal cards are always available! I can make you one like above or you can provide your own quote, they’re all $8️⃣ each (plus post). These babies were born from a lack of inclusive greeting cards at your regular store. I also want to normalise and de-stigmatise celebrating milestone moments such as being diagnosed, coming out as q***r, receiving gender affirming care/treatments, autistic/neurospicy affirmination etc etc.

Not only are you supporting a small artist & saying 🖕 to conglomerate business’, you are standing for something that means a lot to me by purchasing and gifting a card that spreads inclusivity and validation amongst our community.

A little update on this Easter long weekend regarding ChaosKitty.

ONLINE STORE/WEBSITE-
We have made the hard decision to close our ONLINE retail store indefinitely. I will be simply posting retail handmade items from our store on our social media feed, you can comment or message us to purchase them! We will also have all of our usual stock at markets! We can still accommodate for a bunch of payment methods.

MARKETS-
We will be making a swift return to markets in the local Newcastle/Lake Macquarie area! Our upcoming dates will be posted tomorrow morning.

🖤 Swaps! Don’t have cash? Just bring in your old threads (alternative pls!) and you can swap 1:1 with a limit of 5 items per person. (Ie. donate 5 shirts to us, and you can take 5 of our clothing items with you!)

🖤 Repair it! Have something that needs a smol repair, missing button, small tear or seams ripping? Bring it in and we can see if we can assist.
