The most happiest of birthdays to our number one, our fearless leader, our Michelle. These sentiments will be shared by everyone reading this, as I know everybody who comes across Michelle gets to experience the total powerhouse of kindness, love and dedication that Michelle is.

She is absolutely beloved by her family (and yes, Adam and Anth are forcibly including ourselves in this) and has helped so many people professionally and personally throughout her community. The positive impact she has on the people around her is immeasurable and so so so appreciated.

We love you dearly Michelle, and hope your boys are spoiling you rotten today.

One thing we know for a fact is that even the strongest sale will fall flat if it isn’t advertised to the right audience.

So who is your key audience and where are they actually shopping? TikTok, Instagram, Amazon or still the good old in-store browse? 🤔

👉 Gen Z are on TikTok and Instagram
👉 Millennials are all about Amazon
👉 Gen X and Baby Boomers are sticking with in-store

We see it all the time. Brands guess instead of knowing. But understanding where your people spend their time changes everything.

If you are an e-commerce business, don't wait until Black Friday and Christmas to test out your sales. Know your market and plan ahead! 🎅

We get it. Changing things up digitally, especially a new website build, can be expensive. But the good news is there are plenty of options.

Before jumping into a rebrand, stop and ask yourself:

1️⃣ Is this solving a real business problem or just founder boredom?
2️⃣ What brand equity are we risking by changing elements people already love?
3️⃣ Could this budget be better spent deepening the brand connections we already have?

You know you’ve spent way too much time online when you catch yourself wishing you had someone to debrief with about Joe Jonas not being able to parallel park.

And then because this is my life, you start brainstorming how to turn it into content… Before realising it’s far too niche to actually be effective for any of our client accounts.

Let’s also not forget the cultural significance of Husband TikTok and Landon Barker mysteriously appearing in bathrooms together.

Does this mean anything to anyone or am I just online way too much? 😅

As an absolute social media addict, I’m incredibly grateful that I get to spend my days deep diving trends and learning how algorithms work.

An unexpected perk of doing what we do is that we get to hear about and celebrate all of the amazing things our clients are achieving. When you're in the thick of running your business, it can be really hard to be able to sit back and look and truly appreciate what you're doing.

We can get so goal-focused that we miss all the small wins, all the little steps it took to hit those targets, and then we're on to the next target so quickly that we don't have time to enjoy our achievements.

Getting to work on this annual report with the wonderful folks at The Mai-Wel Group was a great opportunity to read about all the good they're doing for their community every single day.
