⚠️🔥 BUSHFIRE UPDATE

As of 9am this morning, there are 95 fires burning across NSW with two remaining at Watch and Act level.

A bush fire continues to burn north of Redhead on the western side of Redhead Rd with residents in Dudley, Whitebridge and Gateshead advised to monitor the conditions.

In addition, the Koolewong fire has now burnt through 120 hectares and is yet to be contained. Residents in Phegans Bay, Woy Woy Bay and Koolewong are advised to stay alert and monitor the conditions.

Further north, community meetings will take place today at Nerong (Nerong Community Hall) at 11:00am and Bulahdelah Bowling Club at 2:00pm to provide community members with information the Pacific Highway fire at Bulahdelah.

A community meeting will also take place at Baerami Community Hall at 11:00am to provide information on the Milsons Gully Fire in the Upper Hunter which continues to burn at Advice level.

Cooler conditions are expected throughout today, however, strong to gusty winds are still being experienced with the possibility of thunderstorms later this afternoon in parts of the state.

Residents in affected areas are advised to remain alert and to stay up to date with the latest warnings.

⚠️🔥 ADVICE - BUSHFIRE UPDATE

A bushfire continues to burn parallel to the Pacific Highway, northwest of Nerong, and is spreading in a south and southwesterly direction towards Nerong.

On the northern edge, the fire is also burning south of Booral Road in the vicinity of Crawford River along Emu Creek Road.

While firefighters work to control the fire, crews may be operating along local roads, including the M1 Pacific Highway. This could result in traffic disruptions, and the M1 may be temporarily closed during tactical operations.

Booral Road and numerous roads in the area are closed. Roads may be closed without warning.

What you need to do;

- Monitor the conditions. Stay alert and monitor your surroundings. Watch out for emergency services personnel and follow their directions.

🟨 CRAWFORD RIVER AND THE BRANCH
- Monitor the conditions. Stay alert and monitor your surroundings.

A community meeting will take place at Bulahdelah Bowling Club, 50 Jackson Street, Bulahdelah at 2:00pm this afternoon.
