Welcome to the Mitchelton and Districts Gem Club Incorporated

We are a small friendly community based, not-for-profit organisation, promoting and teaching the art of lapidary, silverwork and gem cutting. The Jewellery workshop is on Thursday afternoon from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. All lapidary equipment and faceting machines are available for use to club members and friendly instruction and assistance are provided for new members. Cost is $6.00 per session for the Lapidary equipment. Newsletters are posted or e-mailed to members monthly with information on field trips, socials and gem shows. Field trips are an important part of the club's activities, we travel to many and varied gem fields. Destinations include Chinchilla, Casino and Stanthorpe or further afield to Tomahawk Creek for sapphires or Agate Creek in far North Queensland.
