Congratulations to these local legends 🙌👏💚

This is Brian and Barb Daley, and Michael and Mary Cardillo.

They come from our community and, collectively, have contributed over 50 years of volunteer service to the Mater hospital.

This year, from over 600 nominations from Mater services across the state, they were chosen as joint Mater Volunteers of the Year.

Those of us who know these beautiful, absolutely amazing people - know that this is only one of the many things they do to make the world a better place. We would actually be a different community without them.

Congratulations to Mary, Michael, Barb abd Brian. We are so proud of you.

Flood related kerbside collection is being organised right now.

You can place items on the footpath and they will be collected. Please ensure you consult your insurance provider before throwing anything away.

For people who have missing bins or may miss a collection this week, skip bins will be provided in every suburb for household rubbish.

🚨 BRISBANE BUS SERVICES TO RESUME TOMORROW 🚨

Some Brisbane bus services will begin operating on a reduced timetable from tomorrow.

A significant number of routes are still unable to operate due to flooding.

Commuters are advised there may still be delays or diversions in place.
