Storytelling that connects past, present and future 🌟

Our ARDS Yolŋu Radio superstars Andrew Gurruwiwi, Mayatili Marika and Will Porter featured on the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Panel ‘The Evolution of Storytelling’ to talk about how Bluey in Yolŋu Matha has connected with communities across Arnhem Land and all around Australia.

The audience heard how Bluey is about family, kinship, and the supportive community that surrounds them. This is why it can connect with a Yolŋu perspective, and has been a powerful way to tell our stories through a different medium.

If you visit DAAF this weekend you might catch a screening of Bluey, and there’s lots of incredible performances and art from more than 75 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Centres from across Australia. We were proud to take part in an amazing program of art, creativity and storytelling!
