The Hive has desks available! Some of our longer term tenants are leaving The Hive and Darwin which means desks are available from now and September onwards. The FIST FULL OF FILMS FESTIVAL is back and now accepting submissions for our 2021 festival!

If you are a short filmmaker in the Northern Territory you can submit your films to Fist Full of Films Festival by September 30th to go in for the running for awards, prizes, fame and fortune! (Well, maybe not a huge fortune).

We are calling for films under 8 minutes in any genre from scripted short films, animation, music video, documentary or experimental. We are also inviting a special category of MOBILE PHONE FILMS COMPETITION for everyone who wants to make a film on their phone without all the fancy gear - this one's for you!

We will also be running a series of workshops over the next two months with Darwin Community Arts and other partners, so register your interest and get involved.

Are you interested in being apart of a new creative co-working space in the heart of Darwin City? THE HIVE - CREATIVE HUB is seeking EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST for a new co-working space in the Darwin CBD to be launched in September 2020.

About THE HIVE - Co-Working space:
The Hive - Darwin Screen Hub & Co-working space has been operating out of Nightcliff Shops for the last two years. Our shared facilities include a meeting room, film studio, low-cost rent inclusive of power bills and internet. It has hosted regular industry meetups for the NT Filmmakers Network auditions and workshops for Cast Away - NT Screen Talent Agency and hosted desk space for dozens of filmmakers, producers, animators, designers, artists and digital media professionals to work in a relaxed and creative atmosphere with other inspiring creatives.

We are now looking at expanding our business in Darwin City and are inviting interested organisations and individuals to register their interest. This is a brilliant opportunity for freelancers and small businesses to access low rent, open-plan, shared office space in the city, working alongside other freelance and independent workers in a professional environment.
