Huge congratulations to Adelaide Lions for winning the . An incredible effort from start to finish. The tournament was about more than just football, it was about community, resilience, and bringing people together. Adelaide Lions truly showed that spirit on the field.

The Afghan community in Melbourne, Australia, has decided to postpone the 20 December event of Afghan National Culture Day in solidarity with the victims of the tragic Sydney Bondi attack. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the victims, their families, and all those affected. In moments like these, standing together with compassion, respect, and unity matters more than ever. As Australians, we share a responsibility to uphold social cohesion and support one another through grief, reaffirming our shared values of humanity, harmony, and mutual respect.

Australian Institute of International Affairs hosted a , held in partnership with the German Embassy. This session focused on the critical role of marginalised communities within global climate frameworks an area that deserves far greater attention in international policy discussions.

I greatly appreciated the opening of the event by AIIA-SA President Leonard Blazeby and the introduction of speakers by AIIA CEO Bryce Wakefield which enlightened on the importance of the event’s topic. Very thoughtful insights shared throughout the event by German ambassador Beate Grzeski and other speakers that brought depth and balance to the conversation.

A big thank you to our Australian Institute of International Affairs team. It was also wonderful to connect with colleagues involved in the Indo-Pacific Cooperation Network, an important initiative strengthening regional disaster resilience and meaningful dialogue on issues that shape our region and the world.

I was honoured to be invited by a great friend the Ambassador of Peru 🇵🇪 to Australia Excellency. Vitaliano Gallardo to attend a wonderful concert last night. I am deeply grateful for the Ambassador’s generosity and for taking the time to listen to my professional experiences and share his perspectives. We had a great conversation touched on past challenges, shared interests, and meaningful opportunities for collaboration in 2026.

Excellency ambassador greatly continues demonstrating remarkable leadership in strengthening the relationship between Peru and Australia, and his diplomatic work is truly inspiring.

Thank you once again for the invitation, Your Excellency. I look forward to our next meeting and to continuing our constructive dialogue.

As an executive council member of the Australian Institute of International Affairs, I had the privilege of attending this year's National Conference titled - A World Disrupted: Australia and Global Reordering. On the margins of the conference, I had the opportunity to catch up with the former Senator and Minister of Finance, the Honourable Simon Birmingham, and the Ukrainian Ambassador to Australia, New Zealand and PNG, H.E. Vasyl Myroshnychenko.

د استرالیا هېواد په ملبورن ښار کې د افغان بازار په نوم مشهور بازار دی، چې په ۲۰۱۰ کې ورته دا نوم د اړوند ښاروالئ له لورې ورکړل شو.

اوس یو شمېر د کوېټې هزاره ګان چې د افغان په نوم دلته راغلي خو اوسمهال ځانونه پاکستاني بولي، یادې ښاروالئ ته یې وړاندیز کړی چې د افغان بازار نوم د (بامیان کوچک) په نوم کړي.

لاندې عریضه زموږ افغانانو چمتو کړې ده، هیله ده چې امضاءیې کړئ، او په دې ملي کار کې برخه واخلئ تر څو ددې خیانت مخه ونیول شي.
