Last year (and the year before) I reversed the hangers in my closet so I could see what I actually wore. Today I went in my closet, found the hangers that weren’t reversed and put those clothes in a donate bag.

Part of me actually thought, “But what if you wear it? Or need it?”

Even after a year.

Later today I was driving home and thought, “What if I tried to not buy anything new and just used up what I had this year?”

All the stuff - it holds a grip. That’s what I realized this year. Everytime I let go - of stuff or emotions or resentment or fear or things - it makes space.

Space for opportunities.
Space to think.
Space.

So yeah, that’s one of the lessons from the reversed closet hangers.

Try it.

It’s actually empowering. And revealing. (I tend to wear the same things….and don’t “need” all I have.)

Lessons from 2024 and 2025.

-Rachel

Ps… if you haven’t tried it — you reverse all of your hangers and then when you wear something you put it back the “correct” way. Then you get a visual of what you actually wear.

According to Dr. Sebi, arthritis is not simply a result of aging, but a condition caused by excess acid and mucus in the joints. He believed that the bones need proper nutrition, specifically calcium, and that with the right environment, the body could regenerate itself. Ayurveda shares a similar perspective, focusing on alkalizing the body and nourishing it with the right foods to maintain joint health and prevent conditions like arthritis.

The key to managing arthritis is to reduce the acidic buildup in the body and focus on an alkaline diet that promotes healing. By incorporating alkaline-rich foods, like fruits and vegetables, and avoiding acid-forming foods, we can help restore balance and reduce inflammation in the joints. Ayurveda encourages practices such as mindful eating and regular movement to support joint health and reduce stiffness.

Arthritis doesn’t have to be a life sentence. By making small adjustments to your diet, reducing inflammation, and incorporating more plant-based foods, you can support your body’s healing process. Ayurveda teaches us that the body has the ability to regenerate when given the right tools. Embrace this wisdom to live a life free from joint pain and discomfort. 🌱💪
