🚨 Update to CAP advice 🚨

For critically ill adults with high-severity community-acquired ( ), intravenous hydrocortisone is now recommended within 24 hours of diagnosis if they need high-flow oxygen or mechanical ventilation (invasive or noninvasive). It's also indicated if there's a concurrent condition, like a COPD exacerbation.

This is a significant step in managing high-severity CAP to improve patient outcomes. πŸ’‰πŸ©Ί
