Lawyers Weekly has announced the return of its annual Women in Law Forum, now in its fourth year, set to take place on Thursday, 27 November at Crown Melbourne.
Supported by principal partner Mary Technology, the 2025 forum arrives at a pivotal moment for the legal profession.
With the newly legislated Setting Gender Equality Targets Act taking effect in Australia, progress on diversity, equity and inclusion is advancing locally but facing stagnation elsewhere. At the same time, emerging technologies are reshaping work, accountability and equity in law.
This year’s program will feature prominent legal professionals, advocates and reformers sharing strategies to drive meaningful change. Topics will include pay equity, the evolving role of technology, rethinking business models, and challenging homogenous attitudes towards women in law.
