Our latest episode is live!!
We’re sharing the online launch of Jo's book: Eight Limbs of Aerial Yoga.
Jo and Rane both read chapters and are joined by some very special guests including:
Jivana Heyman of Accessible Yoga who kindly hosted the event and asked some great questions!
Danielle Raphael This Wild Soul Photography who was the photographer (of over 250 images!) and truly bought Jo's vision to life.
Maggie Turner Miguel who generously gave her time and energy modeling for some of the photos and also shared her perspective in the book as a 77 year old aerial yoga practitioner.
💚 We were also joined by many of the other lived experience contributors, friends and family - it was a really heartwarming event as an author and I hope you enjoy listening!
🐉 Eight Limbs of Aerial Yoga: Adapting Practice for Accessibility, Neurodiversity and Physical Support is published by Singing Dragon and is now available for purchase!
Head to the link in comments to find out more.

Hannah Balint is our latest guest on The Flow Artists Podcast!
You can listen directly from podcast.flowartists.com or your favourite pod app!
What does it truly take to rebuild your life - and yourself - in a new country?
In this episode Hannah, a UK-born yoga teacher and relocation coach, explores what repeated international moves have taught her about identity, connection, and the courage it takes to start over.

Key topics include: the surprising emotional weight of even chosen relocations and the grief that comes with leaving an aspect of your identity behind; why making friends becomes significantly harder in your 30s and beyond; practical strategies for building community in a new place (including why your dog and your local barista may be your most valuable social assets); how to distinguish between moving toward something versus away from something before you go; and the role of technology in keeping long-distance friendships alive across time zones.

It’s a great conversation and we hope you enjoy listening!

We're getting ready for our annual 'ask us' episode of The Flow Artists Podcast!
Do you have a question you'd like to ask?
We do tend to get a bit of double up on the following questions - 'what's it like working together?' 'What inspired you to start the podcast?' and 'what's your favourite part of doing the podcast?', so feel free to get specific, or random, or ask us something unrelated to the podcast!
We'll be recording on January 24/1, so any time before then would be great - feel free to leave your question in the comments below 😊

Jivana Heyman, the founder of Accessible Yoga is our latest guest on The Flow Artists Podcast!
We’re excited to discuss his upcoming in person Accessible Yoga Trainings in Melbourne April 25-27 2026 and Byron Bay May 1-3 2026 (I'll pop those links in the comments).
As Jivana shares in the episode Accessible Yoga training honors and celebrates people of all ages, sizes and abilities - being a great yoga teacher is not about doing ‘perfect’ poses.
We also talk about his triathlon training and yoga philosophy and the surprising connections between them!
Jivana challenges many common assumptions about yoga practice. Including the Western tendency to over-medicalise and rigidly categorise yoga, reminding us that “yoga is not about fixing, it’s about recognition of our true nature, that we are already full and whole and complete and perfect the way we are.”
His perspective on meditation is particularly refreshing - he argues that there’s no hierarchy of “correct” meditation practices and that “if you’re practicing yoga, you’re meditating. They’re really almost one and the same.”

We loved sharing this conversation with Jivana and hope you enjoy listening!

30/11/2025

In this extract from our latest episode, Jivana Heyman explains the core spiritual philosophy of yoga as recognising our eternal spirit beyond our changing physical body and mind, emphasising that we are more than just our current experiences.
