“Saying goodbye is different for everyone.”
A simple brief, but a potent one.
One that we wanted to do justice to.

A sprawling production across 4 locations and 3 shoot days. Merlin, Zest Advertising and Harrison Funerals, rallied together to produce this moving TVC about a sensitive topic.

A real team effort from logistics and co-ordination, to on location ingenuity and craft, to post production polish.

Merlin recently had the absolute pleasure of working closely with Fat Farmers. A grass roots charity that is focused on the physical and mental health of rural Australians.

We spent 2 days on the road, travelling to Balaklava, Crystal Brook and Robertstown. We captured the real impact of Fat Farmers and heard it direct from the people and communities who see the benefits every day.

We also shot a number days in and around Adelaide with Sponsors and Board Members, to help tell the full story of what Fat Farmers is doing, and why it’s so important.

All up 25 people were interviewed, and every single one of ‘em is a legend.

Thank you to all who participated and generously shared their personal stories with us.

We are very proud to have played a role in the evolving journey of Fat Farmers.

It’s the eve of round 7…
How’s ya footy tips going?! 🏉

Our MERLIN AND FRIENDS Footy Tipping comp - with a healthy 42 competitors - currently has a three way tie at the top!

Footypirate, JJPower and Ron Shill all sitting pretty on 42.
Only 6 points in total margin separates the trio. It’s a very tight tussle!

Congrats you three.

If you’re new to our comp, it’s an ongoing tragedy how terrible I am at footy tipping.
It’s nice to know 2026 will keep that trend alive.
TheJackRabbitSlims (me) are currently ranked 40 with only 29 right tips.

How can the game I love so much, do me so dirty?
It must be that I do my tips via zoom in the car while driving.

Anyway, I’ll check in again with you all in a few weeks.

Last week we premiered a short documentary for Fat Farmers at their Big Heart Breakfast.

Our farmers are doing it tough at the moment, and this initiative supports rural communities by improving physical and mental wellbeing through fitness and connection.

We travelled across SA to film their sessions and hear from farmers, the team and their sponsors about the impact of the initiative.
