Hello lovers! I’m Lachlan, a photographer, filmmaker and the creative director behind SomethingsWild, based on the South Coast of New South Wales capturing weddings all over Australia.

A self-taught photographer capturing some epic moments over the years and honestly, it’s been one hell of a ride. I started out as a filmmaker, which taught me how powerful real stories can be. That’s what drives me — honest storytelling and emotion over anything staged or perfect. I slowly realized I absolutely loved the rush and excitement of capturing couples and weddings.

As I’m sure most creatives can relate, the editing process or beginning a piece of art can certainly be daunting — but once you dive in, finding that flow and seeing it all come together is such a rush. And nothing beats that feeling when you deliver something to a couple that you’re genuinely proud of.

I’m not really the awkward “silent-stranger-in-the-corner” type pointing a camera at you. I’ll chat with your parents, laugh with your bridal party, and quietly catch the in-between moments when no one’s looking.

Appreciate you being here and following along — it means a lot. If we haven’t met yet, hopefully we will soon.

Sophie & Josh’s reception was pure joy — hot pizza, gelato melting faster than you could eat it, and music that kept everyone around long after sunset.
Every bit of it felt like them — easy, warm, and a touch wild.

A couple of young photographers and videographers stumbling through life with our eyes open.

​Fear not, we have discovered the key to happiness and despite what some others may be telling you - you don't need to quit your job and travel the world to find your place on earth or work to collect material things, you need to appreciate what you do have and who you have by your side everyday.

We are lucky enough to call the South Coast of New South Wales home and spend most weekends travelling around in our Veedub Victor.

​We capture events and tell stories through stills, motion and aerial drone footage. We love what we do and we hope you do too!
