NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK PROGRAM IS BACK!
APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR REGIONAL NSW, REGIONAL QUEENSLAND, TASMANIA, REGIONAL SOUTH AUSTRALIA & THE NORTHERN TERRITORY.
Screenworks created the New Kids on the Block Program in 2022 to acknowledge the costs associated with attending the 3-day Regional To Global Screen Forum and to address the anxiety of being a "New Kid" at any event, providing financial and in-person support for all successful applicants.
Supported by Screen NSW, Screen Queensland, Screen Tasmania, the South Australian Film Corporation and Screen Territory we are proud to announce its return in 2023.
At the heart of the New Kids On The Block Program is the fact that it has been designed to make the conference for first-timers a friendly experience where they don't feel alone.
Each participant selected for the program will receive:
- $1,000 to help with registration for the conference, travel and accommodation, etc.
- Connection to other program participants via Zoom prior to the conference
- Priority access to 1 x round table OR 1 x 1-on-1 session of their choice
- A meet 'n' greet in-person session held on the night of Wednesday 29th March
informal get-togethers during the conference to check-in
- A dedicated Screenworks staff member to answer any questions throughout the conference, introductions to key delegates etc.
Funding from each of the participating state funding bodies will allow for the following number of participants:
7 x participants from regional NSW
7 x participants from regional Queensland
2 x participants from Tasmania
2 x participants from regional South Australia
participants from Northern Territory by application
