If grace is a gift, what does it do? It changes the way we see God, ourselves, and others.

Grace says:

You are not too far gone.

You are not disqualified by your past.

You are not saved by your strength.

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

That’s grace in action — love moving first. Love paying the cost. Love opening a door we couldn’t open ourselves.

And when grace lands in your life, it doesn’t just forgive you. It reshapes you. It softens hard places, heals hidden wounds, and teaches you to extend to others what you’ve received from Jesus.

So this month, as we focus on the gift of grace, let it be more than a theme. Let it be your foundation. You’re not living under pressure to prove yourself. You’re living under the presence of a God who delights in giving good gifts.

Join us at CMC Orange for a Southern Family Christmas across two special nights.
On Saturday 20 December from 5:30pm, join us for a Christmas Story screening, a quieter and more reflective evening sharing the story of the birth of Christ and the true meaning of Christmas. Light snacks will be available, and all ages are welcome.
Then on Sunday 21 December from 6:30pm, return to CMC Orange to enjoy a relaxed and joyful Christmas Carols evening with jumping castles for the kids, a sausage sizzle, festive cheer and the chance to sing along to your favourite carols. It’s a fun, family-friendly night out and a great way to celebrate the season together.
Both events are free, family-friendly and open to the community. We’d love to celebrate Christmas with you

Midweek is a good moment to breathe, reset, and remember what’s carrying us. Not our effort. Not our striving. Grace.

Let’s pray together:

Father,
Thank You for the gift of grace that we could never earn and will never outgrow. When we feel weak, remind us that Your grace is sufficient. When shame tries to speak louder than truth, cover us again with mercy. Teach us to stop performing and start trusting.

Lord, for every listener who feels distant, tired, or unworthy today, draw them close. Let them know Your love is not fragile, and Your kindness is not conditional. Help us to live from grace, not for grace.

We receive Your gift again today, with humble hearts and open hands.
In Jesus’ name, amen.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Monday can feel like a climb before you’ve even had your first cuppa. But here’s the quiet miracle we step into today: God’s grace meets us before we’ve done a thing. Not after we’ve proven ourselves. Not once we’ve “got it together.” Before.

Scripture reminds us:
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8–9)

Grace isn’t a reward for the strong. It’s a lifeline for the willing. If you’re tired, unsure, or carrying yesterday’s failures, hear this clearly: you don’t have to earn what God freely gives. Today, you can walk in confidence not because you’re perfect, but because He is kind.

Let grace steady your steps this week. You are held. You are helped. You are loved.

The angels didn’t announce a perfect world — they announced a perfect Saviour.

“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom His favour rests.” (Luke 2:14)

Real peace isn’t the absence of noise; it’s the presence of Jesus. This month, amid school holidays, end-of-year fatigue, family dynamics, and the swirling pace of December, remember: the Prince of Peace has already come, and He is still near.

You don’t have to manufacture calm. You get to receive it. Take a moment to pause, to pray, to breathe in the grace of God. Let Christmas re-centre your heart — not on what’s missing or what’s hectic, but on the One who holds it all. May His peace guard your mind and steady your steps today.

December can feel full — full of plans, pressure, and people — but at the centre of it all is a quiet, holy reminder: God came near.

Christmas isn’t just a story we retell; it’s a hope we live in.

“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light.” (Isaiah 9:2)

Jesus didn’t arrive once everything was perfect. He came into the ordinary, the messy, the waiting. That’s grace in a manger. If this season feels bright, let it point you to Him. If it feels heavy, let Him meet you there too.

The same God who stepped into Bethlehem steps into your December — bringing peace that doesn’t depend on circumstances and joy that runs deeper than the calendar. You’re not alone. Emmanuel is still with us.

Grace is the gift we could never earn, yet God delights to give it freely.

When life tells you to hustle for worth, Jesus whispers, “It is finished.” We don’t climb our way into God’s love — we wake up already carried by it.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith… it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8–9)

That means your failures don’t have the final word. Your weakness doesn’t disqualify you. His mercy meets you right where you are, and His kindness leads you forward.

Today, breathe that in: you’re not trying to become loved; you are loved. Let grace soften the hard edges of shame, lift your eyes, and steady your heart. You can start again — not because you’re strong, but because He is good.
