As the A&R on This Path Knows Me EP by SOUNDWAVE SPOTLIGHT & Badwiz, this project represents a full-circle moment for me.
Having grown up in Northern Nigeria, I witnessed the beauty of its culture, traditions, and unique sonic identity. Being part of a project that authentically translates those experiences into music is both surreal and fulfilling. It reinforces my belief that our diverse cultures hold some of the most compelling stories and sounds the world has yet to fully embrace.
Every record on this EP was approached with intentionality. The sonic direction wasnโt left to chance, it was a deliberate effort to create a body of work that feels honest, immersive, and culturally rooted while remaining universally relatable.
What makes this project even more special is that every track was written, performed, produced, mixed and mastered by Badwiz. That level of artistic ownership is rare and speaks volumes about his vision and dedication.
Working with Badwiz to bring this project to life has been a dream come true. As an A&R, moments like these remind me why I do what I do: helping shape authentic stories into timeless music.
