Follow Your Bliss: ”If you do follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you." Joseph Campbell. Life is unpredictable, and at times, profoundly painful. My journey began in tragedy; an abusive childhood, the heart-wrenching loss of my mother at just 60 years old due to the side effects of Tamoxifen, my own battle with Fibromyalgia and suicidal depression. But through the darkness, I discovered the light.
For decades, I lived with suppressed rage, trauma, and deep despair, all stemming from my past. My healing journey began when I decided to confront my pain, face my shadows, and allow myself to step into the truth of who I am. I healed myself of Fibromyalgia, a condition I now understand was the physical manifestation of my suppressed rage and unresolved childhood trauma.
Losing my mother was a pivotal moment. I remember trying to share the knowledge I had as a nurse, begging her to consider the risks of Tamoxifen. Her trust in the medical system; a system that ultimately failed her and was her undoing. Watching her pass away in ICU, hooked up to machines, her vibrant spirit trapped in a body that could no longer sustain her, was a devastating moment that changed me forever.
Her loss taught me a profound lesson: following someone else’s path, no matter how credible or widely accepted, may lead you away from your own truth.
Joseph Campbell’s words, “Follow your bliss,” became my guiding light. My bliss was not just healing myself but using my story, my experiences, and my newfound health to guide others to do the same.
Your Greatest Tragedy Can Be Your Greatest Gift. The pain I endure, being beaten, molested, and psychologically tortured as a child could have broken me completely. Instead, it became my greatest teacher. I’ve transformed those scars into a legacy of healing, helping others release their pain and rediscover their power.
I now see that tragedy can pave the way to profound transformation, but only if we are willing to step into our truth. I’ve created a life of freedom, joy, and service, all by following my bliss: helping others heal emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
To those who are struggling:
Your past does not define you. Your pain is not your end - it is your beginning. When you dare to listen to your heart and follow the path that calls you, you will find your bliss waiting, just as it was for me.
Don’t just live! Thrive! Follow your bliss. It will lead you to your purpose, your passion, and your truest self. 💕💕 Sending lotsa love from 💕
