The NSW SES are preparing for unsettled weather coming over the next few days, with damaging winds, heavy rainfall and hail forecast from this afternoon in Western parts of the state, including , and .

The risk of severe storms will move further east during Friday, impacting central and southern parts.

Storms could produce damaging wind gusts up to 70km/h, large hail and localised heavy rainfall which could cause flash flooding. The NSW SES strongly encourage everyone to stay informed about conditions and be aware of their risks in the coming days.

Flash flooding can occur suddenly and without an official warning. If you come across a flooded road, please turn around and find an alternative route. - NSW SES

We will provide updates including official storm warnings if and when they are issued. If you do require emergency help, call the NSW SES on 132 500 and if life-threatening, call 000 (Triple Zero).

We have some sad news to share with our PECC families today. Over the weekend, our amazing assistant director Sue Tait and her husband Graham were tragically killed in a head on collision. They sadly leave behind 5 children who need our love and support at this time. They range in age from 26 to 16.

Sue has been working at PECC for 17 years. She was known for being a strong constant backbone of PECC who thoroughly enjoyed coming to work each and everyday!
Her husband Graham was a well respected and experienced coach driver.

If you would like to donate food or grocery items we will have a basket in the foyer area. Please ensure no nut or fish products please.

There is also a Go Fund Me page set up to support the children through this challenging time.

At this stage we are operational, and we will let families know ASAP if anything changes.

A friendly reminder Round 2 of the Parkes Shire Sports Grants Program is closing soon.

Local sporting groups and talented individuals have the opportunity to apply for a sports grant, with a total pool of $37,548 available. A sports grant can assist sporting clubs and organisations with programs, equipment, facilities, and development opportunities, or individual sportspersons who demonstrate the need for such assistance to develop their sporting career.
