An amazing night at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre on Saturday with Jessie Walsh, Patrick Li and Jonathan Yung opening for Jerrah Patston Music and the Australian Chamber Orchestra.

Jessie previewed some new material from an upcoming EP (including the killer 'Not Enough Radio'), Patrick played a beautiful set (concluding with a dramatic version of 'Ghost Dance'), Jono pulled out old favourite 'Cross The Road' and new banger 'Giant Disco Ball', while Jerrah and the ACO previewed a recently-recorded album 'Pipe Majors'.

Thanks to everyone for coming down!

Patrick Li & Jonathan Yung’s first co-release, Trampolina, arrives today!

At the end of last year, long time friends and Club Weld musicians Patrick and Jonathan set themselves the challenge of writing and recording an EP at MONA’s Frying Pan Studio.

The 'adjacent collaboration' found Patrick and Jono working separately but in close proximity, occasionally stopping to compare notes and enjoy the creative bonhomie.

Patrick Li writes neo-classical piano works and charming baroque pop at a pace. Armed with impressive compositional skills, Li’s idiosyncratic, often cheeky compositions are fuelled by high technique, photographic memory and synaesthesia; Patrick is a classical musician who also loves pop.

Jonathan Yung effortlessly writes and performs keyboard-based compositions, ranging from pop, disco, jazz and dancehall to cinematic synthesizer instrumentals; Jono is a pop musician who also loves classical.

Long-time collaborators Pasko Schravemade and June Jones were on-hand to produce, with Callum Cusick engineering.
