With only 8,000 words until I reach my goal limit, the kids book is nearing completion. I hope to have The Envelope and the Bolt finished sometime next week.

It's official. I've completed the first draft of my first novel. Hopefully it won't be my last. It's time to celebrate.

I've finally reached my goal of 80,000 words, and surprisingly, there's still more to go. I expect I'll be finished the first draft within the next few days and then I can finish off the last 10,000 words of my kids book.

70k words. My goal of 80k isn't looking out of reach anymore and I may even exceed it at this rate. One more week and the first draft should be completed.

Finally reached 60,000 words in my book. If I can find another 20,000 words of value to add to this story, then I'll be a happy chappy.
