Warm greetings to the respected Nepali community in Western Australia 🙏🙏
I am Manoj Basnet, and I am honored to officially announce my candidacy for the position of Youth Member – NRNA WA (2025–2027).
Since arriving in Western Australia, I have been actively involved in various community programs, cultural events, and sports activities. I’ve proudly represented WA in professional volleyball, running, and swimming competitions — bringing home trophies and uplifting the name of our Nepali community.
Currently, I serve as:
• Executive Member of the Volleyball Association of WA
• President of Team Tasty Mo:Mo Club Inc.
My journey with the community began long before coming to Australia — from organizing and participating in local and national-level sports events in Nepal to continuing that same passion here. These experiences have shown me the importance of youth engagement in building a united and vibrant community.
With Team Samabeshi, I proudly stand for:
• Supporting students and new arrivals with practical guidance and mentorship
• Promoting mental health &
wellbeing for a resilient, connected community
• Empowering youth through skill-building, leadership, and opportunity
• Showcasing our Nepalese
heritage through culture, arts, food, and sports
• Practicing inclusive and transparent leadership - where every voice matters
This journey is more than just a role — it’s a mission to inspire, connect, and uplift. With your support and trust, I am committed to serving the youth and the broader Nepali community in WA with honesty, energy, and dedication.
