🎊 NEW AUTHOR ANNOUNCEMENT 🎊

We're thrilled to announce that Bas LLoyd-How and his epic fantasy debut, The Breach Binder, will be joining the New Dawn shelf in late 2027! 🎉

The Breach Binder follows Reina Selendi, an accomplished spellcaster, dazzling musician, and charming negotiator. She is also the last hope of a crumbling crime family. Forced to the edge of financial ruin, she travels to the Silver City with only her world-weary valet at her side, determined to reclaim what was stolen from her. The Breach Binder is an adult epic fantasy novel perfect for readers who enjoy the intricate criminal underworld of Scott Lynch's The Lies of Locke Lamora and the systemic magic of Robert Jackson Bennett's Foundryside. 🪙

Bas began, like so many fledgling writers, at the head of a D&D table. For the better part of a decade, he forced his fantastical machinations on (mostly) eager parties of adventurers before finally trading in the dice and silly voices for a blank google doc. From ecologist to personal trainer, Bas meandered his way from one job to another before landing in a wildlife sanctuary in North Queensland, where he works with an assortment of venomous reptiles. Whether photographing Australian wildlife, or presenting croc-safety talks, Bas is always on the prowl for inspiration for his next literary adventure. 🐍

The Breach Binder is due for release in late 2027 and we can't wait to share more about this incredible debut soon! Until then, please welcome Bas to the New Dawn family! 🔥

We’re over the moon to announce that we’ve acquired the ANZ rights to Zoé Duhaime's magical fantasy debut The Lost Spectacular from our friends at Solaris Books!

Zoé Duhaime is a writer and occasional illustrator. She received her education at University of Victoria, with a B.A. in Religious Studies and Women’s Studies, plus a handful of publishing courses afterwards at Toronto Metropolitan University. Over the years she has worked as a parliamentary intern, a barista, a cemetery burial organizer, and purveyor of sweet dreams. She lives in Montreal.
