In this weeks episode over on our YouTube channel, we are in Whyalla on the Eyre Peninsula, we kick off with an invite out on a yacht with some of our lovely followers who spotted our car in town, they invited us on a sunset cruise to go and check out the dolphins, and thankfully we see many.

We also check out some of the many points of interest Whyalla has to offer, one being a look out which turns out to be up a very steep off road hill. With the car in 4WD and the diffs locked we crawl up the side of the hill, but then take a different track to traverse our way back down again.

The last part of this episode we head out to a beautiful beach camp and set up for a couple of days.

We love having the drone to be able to get those awesome shots, the GoPro is great but never seems to give some of these epic places the justice they deserve, that’s when the Drone comes into its own. These shots were taken at Cape Bauer in Streaky Bay, coming up in our next episode.

The town of Freeling, in South Australia, home to the fictional town of Gungellan, used in the TV show, McLeod’s Daughter’s. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves driving around this little town, talking to the locals and listening to them sharing stories of the area.

Another little gem on our travels that we can highly recommend.

This week over on our YouTube channel we head to South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula! We make a few stops along the way but when we find what we thought was going to be our camp for the next few days, actually turns out to be infested with flies!!! after LOTS of talk and deliberation, we eventually decide to move on, and it turns out to be a really good call when we stop and a beautiful spot for the next 3 days.

We also catch up with our good friends Cam, Tiff, Chloe and Brodie from Wild Touring and enjoy a fun and relaxing few hours at the beach together, Archie was living his best life playing with the kids.

This week over on our YouTube channel we head to the Barossa Valley, South Australia’s wine region.

We kick things off at a HipCamp in the beautiful South Australia Hills in a place called Cockatoo Valley. From there we check out the neighbouring town of Freeling, which is the town where some of McLeod’s Daughters was filmed.

We also stay at a place called Farrell Flat, which turns out to be the perfect base for us to drive out to many of the small neighbouring towns, one of which is the town of Burra, for such a small place, there is so much to see and do there.

So grab yourself a drink a get comfortable as we explore this beautiful region. We would like to say welcome, and a huge thank you to all our new subscribers, we are blown away with the support we have received.

Umpherston Sinkhole in Mount Gambier, what an amazing place to visit.

Umpherston Sinkhole, also known as The Sunken Garden was once a cave formed through dissolution of the limestone. The sinkhole was created when the top of the chamber collapsed downwards. Now the topsoil down on the floor forms the perfect environment for the beautiful sunken garden. The sinkhole is about 50 meters deep and is home to many bees, birds and a cute little possum we saw just hanging out in the limestone walls, watching everyone walk by.

New episode drops today on our YouTube channel, and this week we start our adventure as we cross the border from Victoria into South Australia, we head straight to the town of Mount Gambier where we visit one of my must see locations. We explore some of Mount Gambier but also needed to find a mechanic or Panel Be**er to fix an issue we had with the car!

From Mt Gambier we head to a great free park which is right alongside the beach so we decide to set up camp for a couple days, before heading off to the wine region in Langhorne Creek.
