I hear a lot of experts on social media saying “People want to know more about your life so share more about that. It also builds the know like trust factor.”

But if not many people know you exist yet, sharing personal stuff can sometimes do more harm than good.

Because before people can connect to your story, they need to have a reason to care about you.

If you’re not bringing in any form of value first, most of the time, the reality is that they don’t care.

This was a lesson I had to learn. As a person who used to be so open to sharing how I feel, it sabotaged me. So now after trial and error and seeing what others are doing. this is how I find the balance :)

What’s your take on this? Do you share personal stuff on your page, or keep it business for now?

WOW! What an incredible 4 days. Perth. Brisbane. Sydney. Melbourne. ✈️

Still wrapping my head around it all. So grateful to for inviting me on the Art of Aesthetics Clinical Forum Roadshow.

This is something I never imagined myself doing…
And I had the time of my life.

Being able to travel, talk to people about one of my fav topics - content and Instagram, and help nurses and doctors navigate compliance while finding a way to advertise…I just want them to succeed in their businesses and I truly hope they found it helpful.

I used to think December/ early Jan was the worst time to post. 🎄🎇

For 6 years managing social media clients, mid December onwards was always quiet.

Lower engagement, everyone competing for attention with the overwhelming number of ads, and just overall Christmas madness.

But last year, I noticed that people were still going viral, story views were higher than usual, and people were online.

So I decided to challenge the “quiet December” notion and changed up my mindset and strategy.

And for the first time in 6 years, December didn’t feel like a quiet period. The results proved that people are still online and they’d engage if they are interested.

I’ve learnt not to let my assumptions hold me back.

So challenge your beliefs. And don’t assume you already know how things are going to play out. ❤️

Just like our taste buds, we want variety.

We crave for something new.

We want to get entertained.

You can’t expect the same content to perform well forever.

And you need to experiment and change when a content is not already performing well.

As a social media manager for the past 5.5 years I’ve noticed that a lot of business owners were just posting content online for the sake of it because they felt they had to.

However, with the demands of running a business, social media often ended up at the bottom of their priority list, leaving little time to focus on the marketing efforts they were told you have to.

As a result, they were not seeing much results…

So how do I help my clients?

By providing a holistic SMM service. ❤️

How?

By developing an Instagram content strategy and producing creative and strategic content for my clients.

I create about 70-80% of the content for my clients so that they can free up at least 24 hours of their time per month while making sure that the content is working towards their marketing goals.

Such as growing your brand presence on Instagram online or generating leads.
