One thing my guest said during our conversation really stood out to me.

What if getting rich with AI isn’t about building the next big, complicated technology? What if it’s about solving simple problems for millions of people?

From his perspective, Africa is filled with opportunities waiting to be explored.

Think about the women who sell cakes, charcoal, food, or other products in front of their homes. Many still manage their sales, inventory and accounts manually.

He believes a simple, affordable app could help solve that problem.

Even at 50 cents a month, 100,000 users would generate $50,000 every month.

The product doesn’t have to be complicated. It just has to solve a real problem and scale.

And with AI making it faster and easier to build these solutions, his question is:

How can we take advantage of what is happening right now?

This is his perspective on the opportunities AI could create across Africa.

AI is exciting. But it can also be scary.

In my conversation with Dr. Michel Nzikou Mamboukou, we talked about what AI can do and, more importantly, what could happen when people use it for the wrong reasons.

AI can make work faster. It can provide information. It can help us solve problems.

But what happens when these same capabilities are used negatively?

Michel also shared his thoughts on what governments could potentially do to help control the use and misuse of AI.
