Woke up with numb fingers and toes! Checked outside and it was just pure sunshine. Thank goodness I'm off work today!

The climate in Perth, Western Australia can be quite extreme. During summer, temperatures can soar into the 40s and occasionally reach close to 50°C in some areas, while winter brings chilly mornings and evenings that can drop to around 2°C. We don't have snow here though!

It's amazing how one place can feel like two completely different worlds depending on the season!

Left home under bright sunshine, went into the shopping centre and came back out to a cold, gloomy weather and rain.

Let's take a moment to appreciate how organized, clean and reliable our public transport system is here in Perth, Western Australia.

As someone who lives a fairly frugal lifestyle and chooses not to drive, having access to a public transport network that is safe, efficient and easy to use makes a huge difference to my day to day life.

It's one of those things that can be easy to take for granted until you travel elsewhere like the Philippines and realize that not every city has the same level of convenience and accessibility. For many people, public transport is simply an option. For others, it's an essential part of living independently without the costs and responsibilities that come with owning a car.
