Stop paying for tools when you're starting out.

Canva is amazing. Yes, the paid version has extra bells and whistles, but the free version will absolutely get you where you need to go.

I use the paid version now, but I built my way up to it. You don't need expensive software or design skills to post good content, especially at the start. You need a simple tool and a bit of consistency. That's genuinely it.

Here's the truth: social media doesn't need to be this hard. It needs to be consistent, a little imperfect, and actually seen.

I'd rather post something quick and imperfect today than spend three weeks planning the "perfect" post I never publish.

Simple, consistent content builds trust.
Abandoned accounts don't build anything.

And honestly? I'm just as guilty of this as any small business owner I work with. Between actual work, uni placements, and just... life, it's so easy to let your own business be the thing that slips.

Systems are what save me from that cycle. A simple content plan, templates I don't have to think about, batching when I have the headspace for it.

I understand why business owners think they need a perfect feed, daily posting, fancy graphics, and viral reels. But trust me, that is version that burns people out and gets abandoned in less than a month.

What actually works? Consistency. Clear messaging. Showing up. Keeping it simple.
That's it. That's the whole strategy.

So if you've been putting off posting because it's not "good enough" yet then this is your sign to just start.
