Publishing a strong piece of thinking already creates value - especially when it runs on a platform with real reach.

Brand consistency isn’t an aesthetic preference. It’s a credibility signal.

On LinkedIn, people decide how ‘serious’ you are before they read a word. The brain can process an image in as little as 13 milliseconds - so your visuals run the trust check first.

What this actually means from a design perspective:
➖ White space isn’t wasted space. It’s what makes the message feel deliberate and easy to absorb.
➖ Readability beats cleverness. If the hierarchy, type and contrast aren’t instantly clear, you lose the pause.
➖ Colour and imagery need rules, not vibes. Accessibility matters: red–green colour vision deficiency affects about 1 in 12 males and 1 in 200 females (rates vary by population), so low-contrast palettes quietly lose people.
➖ Mix formats, but keep one system. Carousels, documents, video, single images all work, but they should still look like the same brand. (Benchmarks show multi-image and document formats are among the stronger performers on LinkedIn.)

And don’t make the graphic do the caption’s job. The graphic earns attention; the caption earns belief. Add context and point of view, and don’t just repeat the slide.

Consistency compounds recognition. Recognition compounds trust. And trust translates to long-term business.

Leverage turns five on 31 December.

Five years ago, Leverage was a PR driven consultancy and not much more than a laptop on a dining table. Since then, both our work and the market have shifted – and what a ride it’s been.

Today, Leverage is a small, focused team supporting clients with integrated marketing ex*****on, brand strategy, campaigns and training, including:

📣 Always-on social and content programs for brands in equipment, resources, law, recruitment and professional services
📣 Rebrands, capability material, photoshoots and video that plug into a broader strategy
📣 Advertorials and sponsored campaigns in business media, regional media and social platforms that sit alongside our clients’ own channels
📣 Segmenting databases, setting up email campaigns and project managing SEO, web and design partners
📣 Training sessions on personal brand, LinkedIn, on-camera and speaking for leaders and teams

In the past year we have:

✨ Released five new episodes of Louder by Leverage and passed 500 downloads
✨ Moved offices from Subiaco to Leederville
✨ Planned and delivered events, shoots and campaigns across Perth
✨ Helped steer a lot of quiet, behind-the-scenes change as clients have refreshed and grown their brands… and a whole lot more.

None of this happens without the people around the work. We are grateful for the team standing with Leverage now – especially Tilly – and for everyone who has been part of the journey so far, including former team members like Tate, Rosie, our intern Tiana, and Chelsie, Jess and Cass. We are equally grateful to the organisations and leaders who have trusted us with their brands over the past five years.

As we head into year six, our focus is simple: deeper relationships; sharper ex*****on; and integrated marketing that actually shows up in your numbers and your reputation, and that your team and clients can feel.

Our approach with APMS Services started with discovery, not deliverables. We asked the extra questions during onboarding to ensure we learned (and fast!) how APMS serves clients across divisions and sites. Tilly's relationships inside the business then turned that learning into momentum - faster approvals, sharper stories, and content that sounds like APMS because it’s built with them.

From multi-platform social media management to rebrand support, photography/video and event delivery, the result is a significant lift in engagement, lead generation and a brand that aligns with the incredible people and outcomes inside the business. Last Monday night, the Rugby League Club Board Dinner at marked a moment in time for rugby league in Western Australia.

120 guests gathered - from Premier Roger Cook and other government officials to WA rugby league leaders, clubs, and the Perth Bears board - to celebrate the game’s proud history and the exciting chapter ahead.

It was a real thrill for Leverage to be part of such a big moment. In just two weeks, an incredible team of people and suppliers came together to create an evening that honoured the past, connected the present, and set the stage for the future.
