December has this funny way of holding both softness and urgency.
It’s the month where your soul whispers, “What are we finishing… and what are we finally starting?”
If you’ve been feeling a bit foggy with your writing (or avoiding it altogether), here’s a simple ritual to bring in some clarity before the year wraps up:
✨ DECEMBER WRITING RITUAL
1. Clear your space
Light a candle, open a window, let the energy shift.
Tell the room, the universe, yourself: “I’m ready to see what wants to come through.”
2. Put one hand on your heart, one on your notebook
Take three slow breaths.
Feel your chest soften.
This is you dropping into truth, not pressure.
3. Ask yourself one question:
“What does my book (or deck) most want me to know right now?”
Don’t overthink it.
Just write whatever comes, even if it feels messy or too simple.
4. Notice the first line that feels alive
There’s always one sentence that buzzes with energy.
That’s your compass.
Follow it.
5. Close with gratitude
Thank your guides, your creativity, your future readers, whoever supports your process.
Gratitude closes the energy beautifully and anchors clarity in place.
If you try this, don’t be surprised if a new idea drops in, a chapter suddenly unblocks, or you finally understand what your book has been trying to tell you.
This month is a portal.
Step into it with intention.
