🏆 Congratulations to the 2025 Western Australian Young Achiever of the Year, Joshua (Flewnt) Eggington!

Joshua (Flewnt) Eggington of Palmyra is leading grassroots change through creativity, cultural pride, and community-driven storytelling. Joshua is a proud Noongar Wongi hip-hop artist, mentor, and cultural leader known for using music as a tool for empowerment, healing, and truth-telling. Through youth workshops in schools, remote communities, and detention centres, he helps young people find their voice and pride in identity. He founded FN FOCUS, a First Nations-led music label supporting Indigenous artist development and sustainable careers. Flewnt’s award-winning work includes songs like Flip the Shame and Never Forget, and he has performed at major festivals and on international stages, including America’s Got Talent and SXSW.

What a night to celebrate his birthday, Director of FN FOCUS, Joshua Eggington (aka Flewnt) had the pleasure of speaking about his IVLP program for Hip Hop civil engagement last night at the The Art Gallery of Western Australia - AGWA in Boorloo (Perth) for the 248th Anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America.

Thanks to the U.S. Consulate Perth for inviting us. It was great making connections and being part of the celebration!!
