🇹🇴ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND THANK YOU‼️🇹🇴
Dear Guests of Honor, esteemed guests, President and Vice President of Tongan WA Incorporated, Rev. Dr. Siosifa Ika, and all Tongan Church Ministers in WA,
We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your presence and support. Last Saturday was an incredible success! The praises have continued to flow, highlighting the uniqueness and professionalism of our festival. Our inaugural speaker set the tone beautifully, and every performance showcased our shared objectives.
A huge shoutout to our young and upcoming punake, tutors, orators, choreographers, directors, and our unforgettable performers. You crafted a powerful and meaningful display of our culture and identity for all to enjoy during our inaugural Tonga Day Festival.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the social media platforms that allowed us to use their channels to promote our festival. A special acknowledgment goes to Tongan in Perth, the Tongan Community in Perth, Maori in Perth, WAAKA Inc, Perth Small Businesses, and many others. Your support played a vital role in spreading the word and bringing our community together.
A special thank you to all our food, craft, and art stall holders, parents, and everyone who dedicated countless hours to designing, sewing, weaving, and decorating our children's costumes. Your hard work made our vision a reality.
Lastly, to all our performers, parents, family and friends. Please, join us this Saturday at Kuwinana Beach from 9 AM to 12:30 PM for a celebration of your success. Enjoy kaitunu, delicious cuisines, 'ota ika, sipi, ro'i hoosi etc, and a small thank-you speech. Bring your picnic chairs and mats, and let’s celebrate together!
We are immensely proud of each of you. You should all pat yourselves on the back for a job exceptionally done! Now, let’s get started on preparations for 2026—we have 11 months to go!
See you Saturday morning!
Respectfully yours,
Mr. Talai Tangifua
