There's one habit that doubles your filming time and your editor's workload, and almost everyone does it.

Stopping the camera every time you fumble a line.

Next time you make an error on camera, keep recording. Pause for a second or two, then restart the sentence. That pause shows up clearly in the waveform when you edit, so the mistake gets cut out in seconds and the finished video flows like it was one clean take.

Perfectionism in the moment is costing you hours in the edit.

Vee said it quietly. Almost like he wasn't sure he should.

"I don't know if I could have done what Heidi did."

Not physically. Mentally. The strength to hold everything together when it all fell apart.

This is what partnership really looks like when it matters most.

There’s a phone call most business owners never make, because they’re too ashamed to ask for help before it costs them everything.

In this week’s episode, I sit down with James Wilson, Managing Director of , and the conversation flows from the pride that keeps business owners silent to the mentors who told James that his 70-hour work week wasn’t something to brag about.

This conversation makes business owners feel like they’re not alone.

It’s a personal one, and it’s out this Friday.

beauchamp has spent nearly 30 years placing people in Perth’s tech industry. In this episode, he reveals the nonverbal tells most people miss, the one travel question he asks every candidate that has nothing to do with holidays, and where hiring goes wrong before it even starts.

If you’ve ever hired on good vibes and regretted it, Glenn breaks down the three things every business owner needs to get right, from role clarity to the counterfactual most people skip to the onboarding window that makes or breaks a new hire.

He also opens up about imposter syndrome, why being nice has cost him, and what changed when he stopped trying to run his business alone.

Dr. Karen Weaver lives by a philosophy that everything comes down to two forces.

Love and fear. Both are always present. The question is which one you're pouring your energy into every single day. Karen says if you're stuck in shame or guilt or being hard on yourself, there are no answers in that place. The only way through is to go and do something that lights you up. That's where the solutions find you.

If you're using a DJI mic and recording indoors, that fluffy cover is actually designed for outdoor use. It's there to stop wind from creating a puckering sound on the mic.

A lot of creators don't know this. I didn't either until one of my team pointed it out.

It's one of those small things that separates knowing your gear from just using it because everyone else does.

You don't need discipline for the things you truly value. You just show up.

Discipline is only required for the things that sit lower on your list. The things you know matter, but don't come naturally yet.

This reframe from Laki Mafi changed how I think about it.

This week’s guest has spent 30 years placing people in rooms they belong in.

After a decade of recruit interviews, he mastered the skill of reading and understanding body language.

He’s also the reason I ended up sharing my experience of a $3-a-night Thai village stay, which came with a complimentary Kellogg’s breakfast with a side of weevils, a mosquito net with a hole the size of my fist, and the life-saving sentence I learned during this Thailand trip, which I can still say to this very day!

Ready to learn more in a single hour than you have in a while? You’ll have to wait until Friday when the episode is released.

Everyone wants the highlight reel.
Nobody talks about what you quietly hand over to get there.

Relationships. Friendships. Time with your kids. The version of yourself that existed before the business got big.

Hamish Tedeschi went there. And it is worth hearing.
