““Now therefore, listen to me, my children, For blessed are those who keep my ways. Hear instruction and be wise, And do not disdain it. Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoever finds me finds life, And obtains favor from the Lord; But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; All those who hate me love death.””
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭8‬:‭32‬-‭36‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Make this your prayer today.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.”

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand. I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37‬:‭23‬-‭26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭20‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When you meet someone for the first time and you want to ask, “What’s your name?” in Yoruba, you say:

“Kí ni orúkọ ẹ?”

But in natural conversation, we don’t always say the full sentence slowly like that…

We glide over it and say:

“Kílórúkọ ẹ?”

👉 Both mean the same thing: What is your name?

* Orúkọ = name
* Orúkọ mi = my name

So you can say:
“Orúkọ mi ni Bukola.” (My name is Bukola)

Now it’s your turn 😊
Kílórúkọ ẹ?
(What’s your name?)
