Jono Porter R.I.P. 2002 Zero Gravity, Jono whipin it with style.. It took a long time to get to know J.P. even though we where filming at a fair few events that he rode at. I put this down to us coming from completely different back grounds but after a couple of years and us still there filming we did start to talk more about our films and being able to go film with him for them. Life delt a bad card and Jono passed before we had a chance to make this happen. I soul taken way to early. I right this with respect for him, his family and friends and its an honour to at least share an unseen photo with everyone. (there will be a few more as the story continues) .. Whip it till your bike bleeds... Back in 2000 and 2001 there was a jump show called 'Big on bikes" held in Fremantle Western Australia. This is a shot of Pallantine whipn it big. Pallantine was an underground FMX rider for west oz. This shot was taken at the 2001 show. Trev was still living over there and filming. I was based in Melbourne filming for 000 #2 at the time. "Whip it till your bike bleeds" is quoted from from Dial triple Zero #2 by New Zealand Rider Rhys Dulieu at the start of the whip segment. Ill have to find some more whip photo's from around oz.. stay tuned to 'life through the eyes of a no body' the unseen story of Fleshworx and Fully Tapped

Summer 2000. Here's some never before seen photo's from the day we shot the cover of "Dial Triple Zero #1" Josh Maley riding off into the river.. The day all come together really well. The boats, limo, girls and the fact we hadn't asked permission to launch a dirt bike into the Swan river, so the fine would have been something like $10k if we got questioned and charged. The cops pulled up just as we where about to start filming, I went and hid and sent Trev over to deal with it hahaha, they asked what was happening and Trev just said it was a film shoot and they left. Good work Trog.. The rest of the day was a bunch of fun. The picture of Josh over the boat was in fact going to be the original cover of the film. LBZ and BLACK FLYS hooked all the girls up with clothing and sunnies, SMP was a big supporter back in the day as well. Good times all round.

Back in the original days of Fleshworx.. We used to book out venues and have crazy fu**ed up parties, all in the name of fun... fire breathing, body suspensions, bands, you know everyday stuff hahaha... this was an add for one of those "get together's" at the Flag in Fremantle, good times.. We have the footage from this night and it was supposed to be in "Dial Triple Zero #2" the original un-cut R rated film but as I said we changed the direction at the last minute. Maybe I should re-cut a version just for fun... One day maybe..
2000 was a turning point with film, the creation of our new company and new direction.. we lost the baggage and started to forge our path forward. My buddy Steve was our front man when it came to body suspension. I'd done a few suspensions myself but Steve was the guy that just took it all the way - 100%.. hardcore as f**k!! this is the real deal, the history of Fleshworx / Fullytapped - life through the eyes of a no body....

Ok Fleshworx / FMX fans out there, here's something you didn't know about our "Dial Triple Zero' film series... This is the original draft copy of the cover for the second film in the series. Yes it's covered in w**d!! 000 #1 was R rated and the first cut of 000 #2 (2002) was also going to be R rated and have the same style of edit to the original 'Dial Triple Zero'. You can see Fully Tapped on the cover so yes we where already planning the mag back then to be released around the same time as the 2nd film.. It was literally in the edit suite we changed the direction of the film and swapped out not only the footage but also the cover. Until now no one knows this but if we went on our original path the 2nd film would have been totally different to what we released... Turns out we made the right decision as our second film was picked up by "Activison" and was released with the Play station MTX MOTO TRAX game and was a bonus free DVD when you bought the game, I don't think we where ever given a copy but 000 #2 is was / is the biggest selling Australian FMX film ever produced with over 25,000 copies sold. Where's the cash?? We went snowboarding for two weeks, bought a van and a camera. then we didn't see any more royalty's after that by memory.. hahahaha...... stay tuned for more Aussie FMX history, life through the eyes of a nobody....

All right all you punk ass'd FMX dirt bike riders and fans out there... The Kalgoorile shot of Urek was a hit so after some digging and scanning I've come across the rest of the pics from the batch. Very cool to see these boys all riding together and it shows a great selection of riders at the time from all over the county. 3 or 4 states represented and a great mix of styles.. well worth a quick flick and please share as much as you want... spread the Aussie FMX history cause no one else has these pics and they have never been seen before...
Fleshworx / FullyTapped stay tuned.. YEW

I met Luke Urek at 2000 X Games so when I moved to Melbourne in 2001 we did a lot of filming together. This shot was from the Kalgoorlie Speedway in West OZ probably in 2002.
(Trev was actually filming on this day) At this time a lot of the FMX events or even just the chance to ride in the public eye was at country events like the speed ways. No magazines to been seen anywhere and that was one of the biggest reasons for following though with Fully Tapped Mag! The more we where out filming the more apparent the Big Mags where never around. They claimed all the glory in every issue but in 99% of the times I was out filming they where no where to be seen. Underground riders with underground production companies filming them. That is the real story of the birth of Aussie FMX and I recon even though I stopped making films for my own reasons if I picked up a camera and started again it'd be pretty much the same, mmmmm who knows what the future holds

This is the first promo cut of 'Dial Triple Zero" Back in 2000. The films where made for VHS back the as DVD's hadn't hit the market yet. This is the only promo copy in existence, It was sent out to company's for potential sponsorship. The cover shot hadn't been chosen yet. Also your looking at Australia's first ever hardcore FMX film to be produced. This was the beginning of these movies, Homegrown maniacs was another film company coming up in Australia around the same time but we where on different paths, Shed nine would also become another Aussie FMX film production company with in the next couple of years to follow. The one thing we all had in common was that we were all independent film makers with no financial backing but we where the original creators of these FMX films and spent our own money to make them. We promoted this new lifestyle (not a sport) that was being born in Australia. None of us rode dirt bikes, quiet iconic really... Stay tuned to the real story of Life through the eyes of a no body..

The true origins of Fleshworx, there's always a back story. I wont dive into it to much but it'll make a few people laugh or at least maybe jolt there memory of a reality they once adventured into. For all the rest of you it won't mean that much but for me personally I enjoyed this journey because it opened my eyes and was the true birthplace of Fleshworx. With out this side in life it would never have started, the filming wouldnt have come about, the drive to create may have never been found. Funny how and where life takes us to find some thing else. 20 years later i sit and type this with a cheeky smile on my face.. DC's night club, a club for raves and alternative "things" that amuse ones darker side.. Fleshworx was born in fire, blood and pain, Funny FMX also has alot of that.. The real story continues..

So back in the day before Fully Tapped Magazine Trev published the original "Tubedout" Mag. Mike Metzger was on the cover and the Original 1st every Crusty tour was a feature in this issue.. The 1999 Crusted out tour, it only was held on the westcoast. The riders by memory where Seth, Ronnie, Clifford, Metzger Possibly a couple of others but it was along time ago. Expected turn out was 2000 people, approx 10,000 showed up and it was basically a riot. Crusty 5 featured this as a segment. This was where I met Trev and our adventures begun. This also would be the last issue of Tubedout Magazine but I promised Trev that we would one day start another one, This is the roots of "Fullytapped" Magazine..
