🎄 Minister for Small Business, Hon Jackie Jarvis MLC has officially launched the Christmas shopping season, urging Western Australians to shop with small and local businesses this year. 🎄
"The Christmas period is a great time to show appreciation for your local small businesses and the huge contribution they make to our communities and economy,” said Minister Jarvis.
"There are plenty of ways to support small businesses this Christmas, from shopping at bricks and mortar stores, to buying your gifts from a local Christmas market, booking an experience with a local venue, tourism or wellness provide, or stocking up for Christmas lunch at your local butcher, greengrocer, or small retailer.”
"Whether you're shopping for gifts, holiday experiences, festive food, or entertainment, buying from a small business makes a massive difference - so let's all shop small and local this Christmas season."
There are more than 247,000 small businesses in Western Australia, representing nearly 97 per cent of all businesses in the State, and shopping small for Christmas has a big impact. By making a conscious choice to shop with small businesses this December, WA consumers can help provide an economic boost to the critical small business sector.
🛍️ Busy shoppers can also take advantage of extended retail hours to tick off their Christmas lists while supporting small businesses, with approved additional trading hours set to start on Saturday 6 December.
