We have so much underused talent resource.

I see people doubting, despite having so much to offer if they will find work or chance to put their abilities to right use.

I am starting a platform that bring these underused talented people to devise opportunities for themselves, not just find those that already exist, but rather work to create new opportunity pool from scratch.

It doesn't matter if you are too young or too old. Too weak or too meek. There is one right opportunity for each of us. And its time to discover it.

If you are interested send your expression of interest along with a statement of what your strengths and talents are and your ideal work role to [email protected]
With subject: talent pool EOI

Make sure to have the subject as mentioned.

Together we can.

I am creating a series for at-risk youth sharing lessons and stories on success mindset to support them in overcoming obstacles and hurdles in their thinking to a better future.

If you would be happy to help in this project I would love to hear from you.

I just need an added pair or eyes to improve the content's delivery, in making a powerful read.

Engagement 1-2hrs / week.

If you were fearless today what would you venture out to do?

If anything did pop up in your mind, your life's all troubles reside in that answer.

Don't be stupid and jump in a well to prove you are daring. :) You are a fool for trying that.

But that one thing you wanted to do but stayed back because of a fear, keep gearing up little courage everyday to do that.

What you need is a little help in accomplishing that scary thing. But the worst thing you can do is go to people who are just as fearful as you. So a piece of advice don't ever open your mouth in front of them. What ever little joy or hope you think you feel will be taken away. :)

Hence go to the most fearless person you know. Your definition of who you think is that.

Ask them what they would have done. And ask them to hold you when things go our of hand.

Good luck.

They may hate school but never learning and knowledge and care and fun.

So when they leave school, we should really ask is it their lack of desire to learn and know and be cared for or have fun that gets them out of there or their lack of not getting any of that?

Here's a family self-diagnosis sheet to help know the temperatures of your loved ones around the day.

Hope this is useful. Print and put them up to record your own emotions and that of your loved ones every day so you can be more aware and able to care better for them.

Also, a kit for kids included.

Encourage yourself and your folks to talk about unpleasant emotions as well as recognize the corresponding factors that might be affecting or helping them.

It will be hard if you have never done this before. But to start with your kids (under 10), it can be a simple ritual to adopt.

Cheers

Karalyn Brown
LinkedIn Profile Writer ♦ Founder: interviewIQ.com.au ♦ Online Brander ♦ myPitch App Owner ♦ Workshop Developer - Sydney, Australia

YUP had the fortune to interview Karalyn and hear from her on some of the questions for the youth.

Here's the interview snapshot:

F: Please tell us about yourself
K: Hello! My name is Karalyn Brown. I run a career marketing consulting company you can find here ww.interviewiq.com.au.

I work with senior professionals and executives helping them with career marketing to find satisfying jobs.

F: Please share how you ended up being in your current profession/position?

K: By accident really — which is typical of many people’s careers. I originally did a degree in land surveying and worked for a couple of years, but really discovered I enjoyed talking to people more than talking to fence posts so after a working holiday in London, I found myself in recruitment in recruitment agencies and corporate HR.

After a stint with a large insurer I felt a bit stifled. I wanted to try working for myself, did an audit of my talents and launched my own business — it was a natural fit as I actually love writing and marketing.

F- What have been some of the significant highlights of your career?

K: Growing my own business to attract customers from around the globe — and providing a much-needed service to people through the difficult process of job search.

F: How would you describe yourself as a teen?

K: Definitely an independent thinker, but not fully recognising that. I never assumed I could not do anything I set my heart on. Not afraid to be a bit different.

F: What were some interesting convictions or beliefs you possessed during your growing up years?

K: I have always had a strong sense of social justice and fairness in society.

F: What one opportunity or experience stands out to you as a game changer for you?

K: Meeting with the editor of a national career site about 10 years ago gave me the opportunity to write for national newspapers.

Putting up my website and winning my first client within 2 days of launching.

F: Any interaction with a young talent that stands out in your head?

K: I am always inspired by young women who take a chance in traditionally male-dominated fields.

F: What one thing you did that really helped your career?

K: I read lots of books as a child — that provided a bigger boost than any formal education.

F: What’s your favorite sport or hobby?

K: Going for a long bush walk. I find that clears my head and gives me a mini break each weekend, so I feel I go on holiday.

F: If you could interview someone who would that be and why?

K: Julia Gillard — she is so overlooked at this stage for her many accomplishments as Australia’s first female prime minister. But history when immediate politics is removed will judge her differently as someone who acted with a lot of courage and was a great negotiator.
I have many inspirational clients as well. Anyone who wants to make a positive difference — I find inspirational.

F: One book you would recommend that helped you in a positive way?

Brene Brown — Daring Greatly — She nailed the plague that many of us feel about not being good enough, and how important real relationships and connection are to happiness and self esteem.

F: Number one guiding principle in your life? Please feel free to talk about more if you have!

K: Try not to judge people and treat everyone with the respect that you ask for yourself.
