When tasked with the honour of marrying the executive chef at Matilda Bay to his beautiful wife (and you have most of the kitchen watching on!) it can be a little nerve-wracking! Thankfully they gave me so much awesome material to use to create a very personal, engaging and light-hearted ceremony. ⁣

Today I celebrate 17 years as an authorised marriage celebrant in Australia!⁣
⁣
What an incredible journey it has been — filled with countless beautiful weddings, love stories, and unforgettable moments. ⁣
⁣
To mark this milestone, I’m so excited to share the launch of my brand-new wedding website — the 4th evolution since my first one back in 2008. It’s a space that reflects these 17 years, filled with kind words, photos, info, videos and above all… love. ⁣

While over the last few years I have been devoting more and more time to supporting families as a funeral celebrant, weddings and the Perth wedding industry will always hold a very special place in my heart.⁣

"Hi Kirk,
I know I thanked you on the day but I can never say without getting emotional just how much we all appreciated and loved the way you gave Jim the farewell we all wanted him to have.
Unfortunately I have been to way too many of these occasions where it just seems like a business, which I know it is. However you made it feel like a friend was conducting the service. That is a very special gift you have.
Thank you once again and no one could have delivered my Eulogy better.
You made one of the hardest days of our lives a little easier.

Mel and I met at Curtin Uni back in 2004… we have shared everything under the sun - birthdays, studies, boy troubles, hangovers, living interstate, becoming parents, countless soy lattes… we even conquered Jacob’s Ladder (and vowed next time let’s just go straight to breakfast)… and so what an honour it was to be her celebrant at her little elopement with their families on her 40th birthday!!
