Ela Mazur Creative Learn how to use Instagram to grow your business!

This week was big. Both girls are either in daycare or in pre-kindy one day a week.

Which got me thinking do I have another baby now ?

But no they are there so I can have one day a week to work and also do some things for myself like head to the beach alone…

I don’t know why we do this to ourselves as mums but the guilt kicked in straight away.

Because you start thinking that you should be spending time with them. But in order to be a better mum, I also need to do things for myself.

And I love what I do, I love my clients and the business that I have built and being creative.

It’s also important that they see me doing things for myself so that they learn to do the same for themselves.

Anyway, the ocean makes everything feel better.

Times like this when I have in my head telling me that big feelings are okay even as an adult 😮‍💨🤍

One simple work from home habit that makes the biggest difference for me, as a mum of 2!

When I don’t do this, I notice I get pulled into home tasks first.

Laundry. Messages. Admin. Little things that feel productive… but aren’t actually my work.

What helps me stay focused is writing my list the night before.

I split it into:

client tasks (non-negotiable)

my own business tasks

family admin (daycare forms, appointments, life stuff)

I also separate:

what needs to be done 100% tomorrow

what can wait until later in the week

It’s simple, but it removes decision-making before the day even starts.

When my time is limited, clarity matters more than motivation.

If working from home feels messy or unfocused, this is a really good place to start.

Instagram has changed how hashtags work!

We went from being told to use up to 30 hashtags…

to now only being able to use 5.

If you try to add more than 5, they simply don’t work.

Instagram is moving further into being a search engine, not just a social platform.

That means hashtags are no longer about reach for the sake of it.

They’re about relevance.

The goal now is to help Instagram understand:
* what your post is about
* who it’s for
* and when to surface it in search results

So instead of thinking:
“what hashtags get the most traffic?”

The better question is:

👉 what keywords describe this post, and who should find it?

The best way to use hashtags now:
* choose keywords directly related to the content
* match them to your ideal audience
* be specific, not broad
* stop chasing volume and start chasing clarity

Think of hashtags as SEO labels, not reach hacks.

Clear content + clear keywords will always outperform clutter.

Not really…Someone will always have an opinion, good or bad, no matter what you do. You’re not doing it for them, you’re doing it for you! You can’t control what they think, you can control what you do. So just do it 😘

Happy first day back at work to me! Surely I’m not the only one?

Don’t worry all was solved by updating the software and turning it off and back on again 😉

November is peak noise on the ‘gram—sales, holiday launches, and end-of-year content flooding the feed.

If you want to stay visible (and actually get engagement), you need to be smart about what you’re posting.

These 5 trends are what we’re leaning into with our clients right now, and they’re working.

More saves, shares, and profile visits… without needing to post every day or jump on every trend.

Each one is easy to tailor to your biz, your offers, and your audience.

Think: high impact, low effort.

Try one this week and see what lands. Then repeat.

PS: If you’re ready for a done-for-you content strategy that’s already aligned with what’s working now—DM me or check out my Social Media Management options.

We have one spot left for this year and then won’t be taking on any new clients until mid-January 2026.
