Now that our major project, the fairy book, has been completed, Debbie has resumed work on her trilogy and I have recommenced working on my novel. The novel originated from a world-building class and has already reached approximately 60,000 words. Over the past year and a half, I have been heavily involved in designing images, covers, end pages, and layouts for spayed edges, as well as publishing my wife's children's chapter book. This period has been dominated by work on fairies and wonderland, but I am now looking forward to dedicating time to my own project before embarking on cover design and publishing tasks for the trilogy. My novel is targeted at young adults and diverges from the fairy theme. Currently, I am engaged in crafting a fight scene, which I am thoroughly enjoying. It features knives, moon stones, and elements of violence. This type of narrative is well-suited to my writing preferences.
