How-dee doo and Ho Ho Ho... Yes folks it's the start of the silly season and Christmas is on the way. Christmas songs will be plentiful everywhere you go, and even on your favourite radio shows. Speaking of which, this week I have 2 Christmas songs, one about every child's top wish list item which will be in the fist hour - Maybe your child or grandchild has been bugging you for one for ages. The 2nd one in the 2nd hour will be a bit more family geared.

And don't forget, with Christmas coming up, Double Demerit points will be put in to action. You can hear Col Blanch speaking to our very own Mick Gooch, who just happens to be a retired police officer, discuss Christmas and what our local boys and girls in blue will be doing on our website: capitalcommunityradio.com/interviews/COP 2025_mixdown.mp3 . Lets hope that this year, the road death and accident toll is a lot lower, and give our police and other emergency services a bit of a break.

Our feature artist this week is Ellie Lavelle, she was instrumental in creating the Modern Country Music Association which later becomes the Capital Country Music Association, and for our Top of the HayStack, we check out what was happening in 1963... A sad year for country music.
