Hands up if you find yourself consumed by all the ‘things’ you ‘should’ be doing on social media, but it feels too overwhelming to actually do any of them?
If we could guide you to do anything, it would be to follow the plan below. This is simplified so that whether you’ve just started your social media accounts or want to gear up to take them to the next level, you can follow these weekly Social Media Productivity Tips. Let’s be honest—social media shouldn’t be consuming. With some SIMPLE yet strategic planning, your time online can be productive—whether you're building a personal brand or a business.
Here’s a cheat sheet to help you maximise your impact:
//Organise Your Content: Sort your content from the week into separate albums—B-roll, other, and photos—to streamline access.
//Plan Your Posts: Edit and schedule at least three posts for next week, including a minimum of two reels and one carousel. Draft captions in advance and include key phrases along with 30 relevant hashtags.
//Get Inspired: Spend 30 minutes browsing Pinterest, Instagram, and TikTok to save ideas. Then, take 20 minutes to jot down your original concepts and any specific shots or videos you want to capture.
//Engage with Your Audience: Allocate 20 minutes in the morning and noon to interact with your feed. Respond to comments and DMs, and dedicate at least 15 minutes after posting to connect with followers.
Bonus Tips:
// Use engaging questions in your stories to encourage interaction.
// Check insights to see which posts resonate and adjust your strategy accordingly.
// Follow and engage with new accounts to expand your network.
