Tonight is the opening night of the Australia Independent Film Festival - the festival where it all began one year ago - Everywhere's Global Premiere. It was a remarkable first festival experience. We could never have imagined that it was the start of an adventure that has taken us to six continents making new Crew friends, catching up with our World Transplant Games Federation buddies, having global conversations about disability inclusion and witnessing hundreds of people signing up as organ donors. Thank you all!

As our film festival journey nears its end, we would like to thank all the festivals who selected Everywhere, welcomed us with open arms and helped bring unheard voices to the screen. We are honoured to be a part of your stories and grateful for your role in making the world a more compassionate and inclusive place.

Congratulations Crew and to everybody who was a part of the film production, especially Sum Effect Studio and Transplant Australia. Thanks also to all of you who supported Everywhere through grants and sponsorship, purchasing merch and coming to see our film. This little but mighty film has had a massive impact everywhere it has been, and its success belongs to our Crew village. Thank you.

We are proud to announce that we have signed a deal with SBS commencing December 2025 for them to broadcast and stream EVERYWHERE on SBS and SBS On Demand.

Big news for the Crew in the early hours of this morning with Everywhere being declared a Grand Winner at the World Film Festival in Cannes Annual Gala Event. Everywhere was selected from the award winners across 2024 as the Best Film on Disability! Thank you to the jury and everybody at the World Film Festival Cannes for this incredible honour.

A huge thanks to Emmanuel, Laurent, Anne and Cécile for travelling to Cannes to represent the Crew and the transplant athletes on this special night. You were magnifique! We need to share Laurent's speech as we think he slayed! :

"Good evening. This film was made by the Periscope Crew, a collective of young Australians with disabilities. We're representing them tonight. By filming the World Transplant Games in Perth in 2023, they highlighted ordinary people like us, who have had the extraordinary opportunity to receive an organ or tissue transplant and access an ordinary life.

This echoes their own journey, filled with resilience and daily struggles to lead a life like others. By rewarding them, you are not only contributing to the recognition of the quality of their work, but above all, enabling people with disabilities to gain lasting employment.

Finally, this film highlights the altruism associated with organ donation and the benefits that result from it. So, with National Organ Donor Day just a few days away, don't hesitate to talk about it with your loved ones—we are all recyclable! Thanks."

Congratulations Crew and to everybody in our now global village who contributed to the production and distribution of our film. We are humbled and enormously proud of the impact it is having Everywhere.
