✨ A Rough Day, and a Quiet Reminder ✨
Today was heavy. One of those days where everything felt a bit too much and not quite enough all at once. The kind of day that leaves you questioning yourself, your path, your energy… wondering if anyone really sees just how much you’re carrying.
I logged on to my evening class, feeling flat and a little fragile. As I sat down I noticed an eraser on my desk. And written on it, in tiny letters:
“I love you mummy.”
A secret heartfelt message from my son.
Just like that, something in me softened. The tears I’d been holding back all day welled up—but this time, not from exhaustion… from love.
That little eraser reminded me:
Even on the hardest days, love is there. Quietly waiting. Speaking in whispers instead of shouts.
Sometimes, it’s not about turning the whole day around—but about finding one small moment that brings you home to yourself.
And that’s what gratitude does.
It anchors us to the love we already have, not just the love we’re trying to find.
Tonight, my gratitude practice was this:
“Thank you for the love I didn’t see at first, but that was always there.”
If you’ve had a rough day too, maybe this is your reminder:
You are deeply loved. Even when it’s quiet. Especially then.
