✨ A Rough Day, and a Quiet Reminder ✨

Today was heavy. One of those days where everything felt a bit too much and not quite enough all at once. The kind of day that leaves you questioning yourself, your path, your energy… wondering if anyone really sees just how much you’re carrying.

I logged on to my evening class, feeling flat and a little fragile. As I sat down I noticed an eraser on my desk. And written on it, in tiny letters:

“I love you mummy.”
A secret heartfelt message from my son.

Just like that, something in me softened. The tears I’d been holding back all day welled up—but this time, not from exhaustion… from love.

That little eraser reminded me:
Even on the hardest days, love is there. Quietly waiting. Speaking in whispers instead of shouts.
Sometimes, it’s not about turning the whole day around—but about finding one small moment that brings you home to yourself.

And that’s what gratitude does.
It anchors us to the love we already have, not just the love we’re trying to find.

Tonight, my gratitude practice was this:
“Thank you for the love I didn’t see at first, but that was always there.”

If you’ve had a rough day too, maybe this is your reminder:
You are deeply loved. Even when it’s quiet. Especially then.

Listening to Hear, Not to Respond

This week, I found myself sitting with a client who simply needed to be heard—not fixed, not advised, not redirected… just held in the safety of being truly understood.

And it reminded me of something powerful:

So often, we listen with the intent to respond.
To be helpful. To be wise. To be right.
But real connection happens when we listen to understand—with no agenda other than to meet the person in their truth.

This kind of listening is slower.
Softer.
It’s not just hearing the words, but feeling the space between them.

When we do this, we offer something rare in today’s world…
Validation without interruption.
Empathy without explanation.
Presence without performance.

Whether you’re supporting a friend, a partner, or even your own inner voice—can you listen today not to reply, but to understand?

The shift is subtle.
But the healing is profound.

Healing is a whole-body conversation. One I’m still having on a daily basis!
And after 15 years as a social worker, I’ve learned that real transformation happens when we stop treating symptoms in isolation — and start listening to the wisdom of the whole woman.

That’s why my work now weaves together therapeutic counselling, NLP, hypnosis, and my ongoing study of kinesiology and energetic healing — a powerful way to access the body’s own knowing.

I’m especially passionate about supporting women through the emotional intensity of hormonal imbalances, reproductive shifts, and the unspoken weight they often carry.

This is deep work — not about ‘fixing’ but about remembering who you are underneath the noise.

If your body’s been whispering…
If your emotions feel like they’re screaming…
You don’t have to figure it out alone.

✨ There’s a gentler way to come home to yourself.
And it starts by listening.

For a long time, I lived with a silent struggle I didn’t know how to name.
Through PMDD, perimenopause, and infertility, there were moments where the emotional pain felt unbearable — moments that scared me deeply.

I know first-hand how frightening it can be when hormonal changes collide with mental health.
When you’re doing your best to hold it together, but inside, it feels like you’re falling apart.
When you wonder if anyone truly understands.

This is why I’m so passionate about raising awareness.
This is why I’m committed to supporting women through these unseen battles.
Because you should never have to face them alone.

As I prepare to share at the National Su***de Prevention Conference, my message is clear:
Hormonal health is mental health.
And your experience matters. Your life matters. Your healing matters.

If you are struggling, please know: you are not broken, and you are not alone.
There is hope. There is help. And there is a way through.

If this resonates with you, or someone you love, please share to help raise awareness. Every conversation matters.

Perimenopause is a time of major hormonal transition—yet the emotional toll it takes on women is still overlooked and under-researched.

Behind closed doors, many women are silently experiencing severe mood changes, anxiety, rage, depression, and in some cases, suicidal thoughts. These are not just passing symptoms. They are cries for help that too often go unheard.

Emerging evidence shows an increase in su***de risk during perimenopause, and yet it remains largely invisible in conversations about both women's health and mental health.

This silence is costing lives.

We need to start asking different questions. We need to listen when women say they don’t feel like themselves. We need to stop dismissing distress as “just hormones” and start recognising it as the serious mental health concern it truly is.

Perimenopause deserves more understanding, more support, and more visibility—because too many women are falling through the cracks. And they shouldn’t have to.

Let’s change the conversation. Let’s make space for the truth.

Full Moon in May - Flower Moon: A Time for Release & Inner Transformation
As we move through autumn in the Southern Hemisphere, the Full Moon in Scorpio invites us to reflect, release, and transform.

The Scorpio Full Moon shines a light on the emotional depths of our being. It's a time to let go of what no longer serves us, allowing space for renewal and inner clarity. Just like the trees shed their leaves to prepare for winter, we are also being called to release emotional baggage, old beliefs, and habits that are holding us back.

How to Work with This Energy
1. Release & Reflect
Take a moment to check in with yourself. What have you been holding onto — emotionally or mentally — that is ready to be released? What old patterns or fears are no longer serving your growth?

Full Moon Release Exercise
What You’ll Need:

A piece of paper & pen

A quiet space

Instructions:

Sit quietly and take a few deep breaths, grounding yourself.

Reflect on what in your life feels heavy, stagnant, or unaligned with who you are now.

Write down all the things, thoughts, habits, or relationships you’re ready to release.

Once you’ve written it all down, burn the paper (safely, in a fireproof container), symbolizing the release of what no longer serves you.

As the paper burns, feel the emotional weight lifting, creating space for transformation.

This is a time of deep emotional clearing and personal evolution. By releasing, we make room for the new — for fresh opportunities, renewed energy, and inner peace as we prepare for the quieter months ahead.

What are you ready to release under this Full Moon?

The connection between mind and body is undeniable. Every thought, emotion, and belief you have impacts your physical state, and your body, in turn, influences how you feel and think. When these two are in harmony, we experience greater well-being, balance, and resilience. But when there’s a disconnect, we can feel drained, stressed, or unwell.

Understanding and nurturing this connection is key to healing and personal growth. Your body holds the wisdom of your emotions, past experiences, and even your subconscious beliefs. By tuning into your body, listening to its signals, and acknowledging its needs, you can release stored tension, reduce stress, and promote deep healing.

The mind and body are not separate entities; they are interconnected and work together to create your overall health. Honour them both, and you will create a foundation of wellness that supports every aspect of your life.

8 special Mother’s days I feared I’d never have.
Eight whole years of you.
And still, every time I look at you, my heart swells with something I can’t quite put into words.

You came after the waiting.
After the hoping.
After the wondering if I’d ever get to hold a child of my own.

And then there you were—soft, wide-eyed, and perfect.
From the very beginning, there was something so gentle in you.
Like your soul had been here before and came back just for me.

You are my one and only.
There won’t be another baby.
That chapter is closed now…
But my darling, it doesn’t feel like something is missing.

It feels full. Whole. Sacred.
Because you are here.

There are days I still ache for what never came, but you bring me back—with your laugh, your questions, the way you still hold my hand like it’s the safest place on Earth.

You are sensitive.
You feel everything.
You notice things that others don’t.
And maybe that’s because you were always meant to be the one to carry all this love.

You are so deeply loved.
Not just for who you are—but for the way you’ve healed parts of me I thought were broken forever.

You are the reason I believe in magic again.
The reason I smile just watching the world through your eyes.

No, there won’t be any more.
But there never needed to be.

Because having you
is more than enough.
