After the dust settled from Blazing Swan, Ruby Rising became a chance to reclaim ourselves ❤️‍🔥

For one night, we split into two worlds. Two stages. Two moods. One community.

And the results are in! Voting was tight between the two stages but the final results were!

💃 Groovy Ruby = 66
🔥 High, Hot & Heavy = 62

Ruby is please with the results but is now complaining about sample size!
Maybe next year we have to try again, and this time having the Bass on 201’s Funktion 1 System.

Ruby is rising on the 16th of May, and she demands boogies. ☠️🪩❤️‍🔥

She is pleased with the variety of music🔥. With a star studded lineup (with guests from our friends from Black Lagoon, Public Tranceport and Peacock Embassy) spread amongst 2 stages she shall begin her research for the eternal question - WHICH IS BETTER; GROOVE OR BASS?

She needs your help to find out! With a token system we will be asking you to cast your votes for the bass hounds of the HOT, HIGH n' HEAVY Stage or the groovy cats from the GROOVY RUBY stage. ✍️

The winners will be YOU, the audience for finally having the answer to the hardest question to answer. (This is purely scientific, peer-reviewed evidence after all! 😎).

And for all you sound nerds out there - the stages will also be a battle between FUNKTION1s and VOIDs - the true discerning audiophiles shall finally have their answer to the debate that keeps them up at night! 🔉

This is a Blazing Swan theme camp fundraiser. Blazing Swan principles are encouraged. To promote Immediacy and Consent, photography is prohibited during the event.

We are almost ready to boogie our hearts out under Ruby's watchful gaze. 🔥

A bit of housekeeping before we get there. The gRaveyard is proudly part of the Blazing Swan community and the principles that guide this community are very dear to our hearts. So, let yourself fall back into the Blaze vibes; express yourself, be inclusive, be safe, and have fun!

To help encourage specifically the principles of Immediacy and Consent we have prohibited photography during the event. Upon entry you will be given a sticker to put on your phone cameras and you are asked to refrain from taking photos or videos during the event.

We will have an official gRaveyard photographer - the lovely and talented James - who will be going around taking photographs during the evening. Consent will be sought before photos but please don't hesitate to speak to James if you are uncomfortable being photographed.

If there are any issues during the event - both relating to the the principles or otherwise, please reach out to our hosts!

David - having stepped back into the role of gRaveyard Secretary, he is going to be acting Person in Charge for the evening, so will be your go to man for any situation!

Molly - A woman of many talents, and known for the best decor around, Molly will be able to provide a warm and comfortable space to help with whatever you may need!

Jackson - The pinnacle of responsibility. Any issues and you have the gRaveyard's guarantee that he will go to the ends of the Earth to sort it out - you could not ask for a better host to keep you looked after.

Can't wait to see you on the dance-floor!

Last up for the DJs before the announcement for our special guests (🦚🤫🦚) and certainly not least is our man Gotchy!

Coming off his first year at the gRaveyard, he has proven himself indispensable to the camp. He almost built our roof single handedly with his fabrication and welding skills, his LED lighting knowledge added so much to the vibes and visuals of the camp. His DJing brings it all together with crowds moving and rocking to his high energy Drum & Bass. You will groove, that is a promise.

And to think, this man was unknown to anyone else joining before joining the camp - with us managing to snag him from an Expression of Interest form we sent out to the Blaze community. Legend.

I think he is indicative of just how many amazing people are in the Blazing Swan community, just looking for their chance to show their passions.

Little known fact at the gRaveyard - if you miss a shift during Blaze week (or you wear shoes in our crew marquee even if it has been clearly marked VERBOTEN) you have to wear the patent pending DI****AD helmet.

Innkeeper, the man with the plan behind the gRaveyard’s structural design knows a thing or two about protective gear. Consider yourself warned - his set will be filled with so much fun and provoke so much head-banging and grooving you might need to invest in some PPE.

On the Groovy Ruby stage we have an amazing treat for all of you, so stay tuned to see who is gracing the stage with their talented presence!

Known for playful and energised sets, Bayblade and a Mad Tea Party are ready to set the stage for a crazy session on the dance floors.

Bayblade, always pushing new boundaries with careful crafted mixes, full of remixes to get you singing along and heavy drops to get your bass faces on you never quite know what he’s bringing to the table - the only thing you do know, is that it’s going to be full of bangers.

A Mad Tea Party is fresh from repping Public Tranceport at Blaze and is bringing big BOUNCY energy to her shift at the Graveyard. She'll be spinning tracks that will have you hopping like the March Hare and grooving like the Cheshire Cat!

Representing our friends from Black Lagoon Coffee Camp (the second coolest camp at Blaze😘), Sesh1 is bringing a "The Die Every Day" vibe with his BASS CANNON set. Your socks will not just be blown off, but they will be obliterated!
