A few people have asked where Wattle & Wolfhound comes from...

I’m originally from Ireland, now married to an Aussie and raising our young family here in Perth, Australia — and the name reflects both sides of that story.
🌼 Wattle for life here — bright, grounded, and unmistakably Aussie.
🐾 Wolfhound for where I came from — strong, gentle, and deeply rooted in Irish folklore.
It felt like the right mix for what we’re building: books that are thoughtful, fun, and made with care.
Thanks for following along — we’re just getting started.

I’ve been genuinely surprised by the response to 'The Butterfly That Stayed' 🦋 What began as a way to help my kids understand the loss of their grandad has now reached families across Australia, Ireland, the UK, the US, and Germany!! Thank you so much for the support! 🙏
It inspired me to launch Wattle & Wolfhound Publishing — a creative side project where I’ll share books and puzzles rooted in our Irish-Aussie life (when I have some free time!).
Next up: a fun series of word search puzzle books to help kids grow their vocab through themes i've experienced first hand with my kids like Aussie animals, Rottnest Island adventures, mining and Fly-In Fly-Out families. Maybe some Irish themed puzzles in the future if there is interest!
And if it goes nowhere… it’s still been a great little adventure with my kids. 😊
