Perth is more than just summer. 🍁

I’ve always felt our city is at its most beautiful when the heat finally breaks and that crisp, golden light takes over. I spent some time capturing the shift this season - from the quiet corners of the Hills to the afternoon glow over the vineyards.

The full cinematic edit "Autumn in Perth" will be premiering soon on my YouTube channel.

Philippine Fiesta Perth 2026 Set to Bring the Biggest Filipino Celebration to WA

PERTH, WA — The Filipino community in Western Australia is gearing up for one of its largest cultural celebrations yet, as the Philippine Fiesta Perth 2026 takes over Forrest Place on 9 May 2026, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Organised in celebration of the 80th Anniversary of Philippines–Australia Diplomatic Relations, the event is expected to draw thousands of Filipinos, Filipino‑Australians, and friends of the Philippines for a full day of culture, food, music, and community spirit.

The fiesta will feature a wide range of activities, including:
• Traditional and contemporary cultural performances
• Santacruzan procession
• Food stalls and food trucks showcasing Filipino cuisine
• Indigenous games
• Pop‑up stores and local crafts
• Live bands and Pinoy–Aus hiphop artists

Community organisations, sponsors, and cultural groups across WA have come together to support the event, highlighting the strong and growing presence of the Filipino community in the state.

The celebration aims not only to showcase Filipino heritage but also to strengthen ties between the Philippines and Australia, reflecting eight decades of friendship, cooperation, and shared values.

Philippines News Perth will be on the ground to cover the festivities and bring highlights from this major cultural milestone.

The Hidden Heart of Midvale: Breadren 🇵🇭
Is this the happiest place in Perth? For anyone who grew up with the scent of a neighborhood panaderia, the answer is a resounding yes.

While the rest of the city is rushing, there’s a quiet corner in Midvale where time seems to slow down. Breadren isn’t just a shop; it’s a portal back to the Philippines. Between the warmth of the ovens and the genuine smiles behind the counter, it’s easily the best Pinoy bakery in Perth and quite possibly the city’s best-kept secret.

The Essentials:

The Pandesal: Soft, airy, and coated in just the right amount of breadcrumbs. It’s the ultimate morning ritual.

The Cheese Bread: A golden, nostalgic favorite. That perfect balance of soft dough and salty cheese that hits the spot every single time.

Traditional Delights: On the right day, you’ll find the real soul food - warm, comforting Lugaw that feels like a hug in a bowl, or sweet, chewy Palitaw topped with plenty of coconut and sesame seeds.

The Spanish Bread: Perfectly sweet with that buttery, sugary core that melts in your mouth.

Forget the over-hyped tourist spots. The best bakery in Perth is the one that feeds your soul and reminds you of home. Grab a warm bag of rolls, find a quiet spot in the nearby Swan Valley, and enjoy the rhythm of a perfect Perth morning.

📍 Visit them: 30 Hooley Rd, Midvale WA 6056
Pro-tip: Go early to catch the Lugaw while it's hot and the bread is still steaming!

Living in Australia has given me so many opportunities…
but there are days when I still miss Manila so much 🇵🇭

The noise, the food, the people, the feeling of being home.
No matter where life takes me, Manila will always be part of who I am.

Filipinos abroad — do you still feel this too? ❤️
